I feel like our country has passed the point of rehabilitation. Like I genuinely don’t know if this country can/will recover from what started with Reagan and culminated in trump. I really think the society is too fractured. I don’t think like “America will fall and be no more!” or anything, but I do think even the illusion of democracy is slowly (becoming quicker and quicker) being eroded and stolen away by republicans. It seems like the right has paved the way to install a new form of government. The branches of govt will still exist but they’ll become obsolete bc all of the power will be consolidated into one branch - the executive, the dictator president.
