Great to hear, my hope is that with the team the way it is now, every year we can just reload instead of rebuild. As excited as I get for the draft classes, I don't want to feel like a 1st round pick is the savior of the team; let them learn and grow but still have the team be competitive.

OLU is a flat out stud. 🐎 A high character man with skys the limit for his on field ceiling. We must all also move past this notion that Olu "is a backup" and Olu "gets to sit and watch and learn". No no no. Olu is playing. Period. In the new extentioned & international NFL modern season there truly is no such thing as a "backup", most especially along the O line. Everyone who is suiting up Sunday will be playing. Along the O line we all know there will be injuries. We all know Smith stays healthy for half a season at best. Make no mistake, for virtually any other team in the league Olu is the rookie Day 1 starting left tackle & make no mistake, Olu plays a bunch this season.

@@yoholmes273 Those accolades are just that. Will Campbell was a better pass blocker than Olu last year and he played vs SEC competition. Olu compares to Russell Okung to me. Good prospect but not elite at all. I would have taken the trade with the Rams and drafted Troy Fuatano a WR is possible. Olu gets pushed back to the QB too much due to not the strongest anchor which is the same with Fuatano.

I recall listening to an NFL GM who said that you know pretty quickly if a draft pick is any good. Don't forget there was points in the predraft process where this guy was neck and neck with Alt. Of course, the Jets love talking up their picks so its also possible they are just hyping up the guy.

I absolutely love Brock and would've been over the moon with him, But 1 of our biggest problems over the last few years was our oline we've been absolutely devastated by injuries. An oline men isn't the sexiest pick but was definitely needed. Plus he was 1 of the absolute best to get.
