The only games that don't are Chinese bloatware games that exist to siphon off as much money as possible before shutting down and taking the money with them. Good morning! I'm a Portal owner. The update has been a night and day upgrade. There used to be a bit of lag, even on my 1gig+ internet connection. That's gone since the update. Streaming is wild. I can actually run games streaming on lower connections than remote play. All very stable. I will say that having fast internet is probably a must if you want to use remote play. All that said, I'm currently at a cabin in the woods, on a 300mb internet connection, playing Helldivers 2 with damn near 0 latency. It's amazing. I love this thing and my brother-in-law olwants one for his kid now.

The Sony and Microsoft handhelds are at least 4 years away if PlayStation and Xbox fans are lucky, that's a pretty big head start for the Nintendo Switch 2, it's going to be very hard for those two to catch up to the nintendo switch 2. especially for Sony because they are probably still planning on releasing the PS6, so there probably won't be that many games at launch because they have to make games for 2 consoles now

ergonomically the ps portal is the best portable Sony has produced to date. wish the thumbsticks were slightly larger but outside of that it's a great device for what it is. here's hoping whatever portable they make next has better software support. I've only tried a few latency tolerant games with the new streaming direct to the portal feature, so far it's flawless, but I'll have to try something like remnant II to really get an idea of how it performs.

Hey Ralph! Shout out to my favorite game journalist and his excellent team! I've been fiddling around with the Portal cloud streaming all week and, so far, it's pretty good. Minimal compression artefacting, so image quality is comparable to remote play on the PS5. The occasional frame drop here and there, some negligeable stuttering, but otherwise fine. The input lag is noticeable, so no twitch reflex games, sorry COD fans. Still, for all that, it's an unexpected and very pleasant surprise. The games selection is a little meh, but there are some real bangers on there already, and it's bound to improve after the beta testing period's over. To borrow a phrase from one more suited to this than I: "I strongly recommend". 😉

It's part of the "You will own nothing and be happy" agenda. You will either bend the knee to Big Brother, or "No games for you!". Part of the propaganda process is repeating an opinion or narrative enough times until people think it's absolute truth. All they have to do is say over and over "Cloud gaming is sweeping over the world" and then normalize it to make it a reality (because they removed any options by claiming it is what people wanted).

Cellphones are available in countries too poor for people to own consoles or PC. Many Asian countries, for example, have amazing internet and phones, but low income citizens. Streaming is perfect for those billions of people.

Playing daily with GeForce Now on the Ultimate tier. Perfect for single player games, okay-ish for Battlefield with the downside of requiring the publisher to opting in their games on the platform but more and more are doing it, especially PC Gamepass.

I am so glad that you showed Tiny Tina's Wonderlands during that Steam DLC segment, because as a longtime Borderlands fan that has otherwise loved the previous games DLC's, TTW's was shockingly awful, and deserved a full refund to all.......

One issue/worry I have with the new Steam season pass policy is that, for pre-purchased season passes, some content needs to be available the day the game launches. That either enforces day-1 DLC, or means some throw-away cosmetic DLC which some developers may not want to include. And, if a throw-away cosmetic DLC is good enough to serve as the day-1 content for a season pass, it kind of negates that whole rule. That said, I very much like the rest of it.

So many talented English-speaking voice actors are considered second-rate because of the horrendous writing/translation of the much better-written Japanese versions of games. Few are absolutely amazing like the voice actors of RD2 and BG3. Others are actually talentless, especially when compared to Japanese voice actors. On an unrelated note, @murderycatdoll1380, @Krypto1211, you guys are using 'either' and 'neither' incorrectly; 'too' is what you're looking for.

Games media really overestimates how much and how many people care about Alan Wake 2. I couldn't care less and I don't know anybody who wants to play the game. I don't think that games being weird just to be weird is interesting at all. Also not into walking sims.

I will buy anything Remedy puts out. I've loved them since Max Payne was released, and have loved most of their games. Control and Alan Wake 2 were both amazing games, can't wait to see what's next
