Love seeing this as a press officer myself. What a lot of reporters don’t get is that they are invited to events like this for the benefit of both parties - for the club to use the media to get their messages out and the media to obtain content for their papers/ radio/ TV.... it’s beneficial for both. But some journalists think that press officers are there to roll out the red carpet for them and do whatever it is they want/ need. Journalists need press officers just as much as press officers need journalists. Hate it when reporters think that their role is more important. The media are invited there to preview the game, so he can’t be surprised when he’s asked to move on from a topic that’s already been covered some days before. Of course press officers know that a reporter’s job is to ask some tough questions and to hold people to account for the benefit of the public - and they’re allowed to have access to players/ managers to do that. But when they take the piss and ask things on a totally irrelevant topic they can’t be surprised when the press officer jumps in. So when you get reporters slagging off press officers, nine times out of ten it’s because they’ve been put in their place by one and they didn’t like it. Hurt their ego.

If he says nothing, it is also better for Pochettino to make demands such as giving him some transfer funds or selling players that need to be moved on. Just a gut feeling based on the way he operates. His mission here is only half done and he put so much time and energy into building them from also rans into legit contenders who are now a force in the leagye and Europe. I just don't think he can walk away from that to start the process again for a third time without ever having accomplished the task he started at either SouthHampton or Spurs. I think he realized he could never scale the mountain at Southhampton but the squad he has now is different. I give him at least 2 more years at Spurs to complete what he started ...... then he will move on and the same clubs will still be chasing.

The entire vibe of this, even from the Spurs rep was that "we really don't know what's going to happen". Its a lot easier to just say he's our manager and he's going nowhere but that clearly wasn't the tone.

That's lowkey disrespectful to Spurs, the players,Mauricio and the fans to be constantly asking that question (To build up a story to reality). Tottenham are doing good at the moment, if they were doing shit then I would understand.
