There are certain jobs that people do and part of that job is unfortunately having to be placed in situations where you will witness things that you will never forget for the rest of your life. Police officers need to be tough but what he saw is way beyond the scope of what is expected. This man is human and will never forget this. My heart goes out to him. No innocent little child should have had to suffer like she did.

I hope Officers like him are getting the help they need, I can't imagine it must be easy to witness such inhumanity.

These many years later and he remembers that horrific moment like it was yesterday, including the layout of the home. My dad was a Sacramento City police officer and it was years later and after he had died that my mom had told us about the days where he would cry behind their bedroom door for those that he wish he could have saved. His "Beat" was not the safest of areas.Too many far beyond saving. He brought his work home in his heart and mind like this wonderful officer did.
