All your videos are helping me out on planning what and how to go about my bog containers that I'm gonna start working on in February. I'm in Oregon zone 8b. I found You from being in a few of the same FB groups and Iv enjoyed watching and learning.

Thank you for checking me out!!! Also good luck with your bog maintenance. It can be tedious but when your spring growth come roaring in it makes it all worth it

Do you have any tips for washing/rinsing the media? Peat and perlite. I felt like it took forever to make them run clear.

@@carristarrbeach9835 I don’t bother rinsing it. I just wet it and plant them up

Looking good ! If I may add, you dont have to be super careful with that rhizome. If a bud breaks off, it's ok. You can put it in a smaller pot or right next to the mother plant, and it'll grow just fine. That's how people sell bare root rhizomes. They break them down into smaller parts. So, for that one that was lower, you could've broke it off and leveled off that substrate

The smaller growth points don’t have any roots just yet and would have a tough time surviving without any roots or a piece of the rhizome attached to supply energy to it. I wanted to leave the plant intact without dividing because it sets them back a bit once you divide them. This plant has been stressed enough so I just wanted to give it better conditions to thrive in!!🪴🪴🪴

@insecticidal151 i agree with you on that. If they don't have roots, then keep it intact.

I definitely would have loved to make the clump more manageable lol. It’s growing in opposite directions as is 😅😅😅
