@@TheBonsaiZone I noticed the passion for them, if you ever need anything from Brazil or South America let me know! I have started my bonsai adventure with some bougainvillea that i plan to cluster pant and my second project is creeping fig cuttings by bunching and twisting and hope they grow together. I also have an Australian Umbrella tree growing on my yard that's about 10 meters tall. So i took a cutting from that to get myself an air root bonsai eventually.

Amazing tree !! I discovered your channel last year and it totally made me want to start doing bonsai ! Since then, I've done quite a lot of seedlings of more or less known trees (sometimes totally unknown). My first tropical seedlings are 5 Princess Earrings trees, that are doing really good for the moment (first big cut in the next Spring).

Nigel I think you need to purchase new cutting tools or files to sharpen them. One thing I have learned no matter if it’s cooking or bonsai you’re only as good as your tools. I love your channel.

When would you say the best time for hard pruning and repotting is for ficus and other tropicals that’s growing indoors year around? Thank you for all your videos!🤩

Nigel, can I ground layer and hard cutback at the sometime? Because my tree looks very ugly..
@TheBonsaiZone2 ай бұрын
It's better to keep lots of foliage to help generate new roots. If it's mid summer and it's warm and humid, you can do almost anything to a Ficus and it will recover easily!!

Hello Nigel great video like always. Does the Turface that you use decompose after some time? Reason I’m asking is when you repot it looks like regular soil. I’ve been thinking of using your mix with Turface, perlite and pine bark. I just want to know what to expect. Thanks

It amazes me that after ALL THIS time, you still don't get basic camera angles. Your hand is 80 per cent in the way. Turn your camera 45 degrees and we can see what you are doing. Otherwise, great info as usual.
@TheBonsaiZone2 ай бұрын
Well I always try for 100 percent, so I guess 80 percent isn't too bad. Thanks for the insults.
