I have a paph delenatii from two years back. Found they grow well with smaller bark to keep the humidity more even (The big pieces create too much gaps and dry air). i dont grow in a tent or anything but it seems okay so far. Could be growing faster but I cant help that i live in a fridge lol Im just glad its alive

I use a mix of 3/8" bark, course perlite, 3/8"-1/2" charcoal, and rice hulls. I don't have a set ratio but the mix is approximately 65% bark. I grow in a greenhouse with some plants under natural light and some under grow lights. In November, I sprinkle them with garden lime. I repot every 2 years unless the plant outgrows the pot it is in before then. Keep moist at all times.

Interesting mix using rice hulls. Never heard of that being used before. Where did you get that idea from?

@@PleurothalliDan Rice hulls are cheap filler and provide silica for root development.

Where did you get those tallish 2 inch pots you had the seedlings in? Im thinking of moving my masdevallia over to opaque pots since their moss is growing algae from light exposure
