Nice volunteer tomato plant. Volunteer plants are usually very tough.

I did the same last year and last spring my volunteer tomato produced very early. I protected it with a plastic sleeve against the cool late winter/early spring weather and it worked very well. It was a cherry tomato plant. I will try again this year. Good luck with yours Donald. Cheers.

That works great, Donald! I'm not really sure at this time whether or not I will be able to have my outside raised bed gardens this year, since I need to have surgery on my left hand due to Dupuytren contracture! If not, I hope to be able to keep the greenhouse going all summer, if the whiteflies continue to stay the heck out of there ; )

Alaways enjoy your video's. In Washington State I usually start with seed from last year. Than when plants get 3rd set of leaves will remove bottom set of leaves and will repot leaving 2 sets of leaves above soil. Really makes plants strong with a big root ball.
