Evara Foundation has filed a representation to the Union on India to resolve to repeated discrepancies in the UPSC exams notifications. Due to these discrepancies, persons with disabilities do not get the seats reserved for them.

Following are the issues raised in the representation submitted by Evara Foundation w.r.t UPSC CSE 2021 : (i) Lesser number of reserved vacancies for Persons with Disabilities against each of the services, (ii) de-identification of Indian Foreign Service and Indian Audit and Account Service for visually impaired candidates, (iii) de-identification of Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli Police Service (DANIPS) and non-identification of Indian Police Service and Indian Railway Protection Force Service for persons with benchmark disabilities, (iv) non-inclusion of candidates with disabilities included in Section 34 (1) (d) of the RPWD Act, (v) non-disclosure of the category wise vacancies against each of the advertised services, (vi) no transparency over backlog vacancies, (vii) revision of vacancies after issuance of Examination Notice, and (viii) not providing unlimited number of attempts to all categories of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities at par with SC/ST candidates.

मेरा हैंडीकैप्ड सर्टिफिकेट 45% हैं मेरा मानलो टोटल परसेंटेज 65 मार्कशीट में,लेकिन किसी दूसरे का हैंडीकैप्ड सर्टिफिकेट 70% हैं लेकिन मार्कशीट में उसका टोटल परसेंटेज 55 हैं तो जॉब किसे मिलेगी ,जिसके ज्यादा नंबर होंगे उसे या फिर जिसका हैंडीकैप्ड परसेंटेज ज्यादा होगा उसे कृपया मुझे उत्तर देने की कृपा करे सर जी आपसे विनम्र निवेदन हैं...🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Sirji up mai 69000 vacancy aayi thi waha pr ek bhi vacancy handicapped ko unke reservations se nhi mili total 1500 bachhe the agr 3% bhi reservations up government deti to 2000 vacancy hoti aur sbki joining ho gyi hoti lekin kuch nhi hua sbne 4 month protest kiya high court bhi gye koi decisions nhi aaya abhi tk. aur uppsc ka notifications 2018 se dekh raha hu 1 vacancy dikhate hai aur ye bhi nhi btate wo konsi category ki hai mera mtlb vision, OH,HI, kiski hai aise bahut notifications hai mere pass kahi bhi 3% ya 4% reservations nhi mil raha hai.

Yes, Amol. It is heartbreaking. If you go to page no. 4 of the Examination Notice issued by UPSC on 14.03.2021, you will observe that they have not included visual impairment in the functional category for IFS and Indian Audit and Accounts Services. Let's hope that Evara Foundation's representation is duly considered by the executive authorities.
