Reproduction in Protozoa

Reproduction in Protozoa is of two types - Asexual and Sexual.
Asexual reproduction takes place without formation of gametes or sex cells. It occurs in many types viz., Binary fission, Multiple fission, Plasmotomyy and Budding.
Sexual reproduction takes place by the formation of sex cells or gametes. These then undergo fertilisation and zygote is formed. Zygote develop and young one is formed. In Protozoa, Sexual reproduction is also many types viz., Syngamy, Conjugation, Endomixis and Hemixis.
