I wwas gonna suggest Ter-types, since they're things you'd keep in a terrarium. Plants for decor and fresh air for the reptiles kept within, whom feast upon the insects.

Its not a handtrap floodgate. It stops ANY activated effect in the hand. It would stop yubel plays such as revealing Grindergeist and a yubel card to summon Geist to the opponents field. It would stop some of the Fire King cards. Would stop some of the searching of voiceless voice by preventing Saffira from discarding herself to search for a ritual monster and send one to grave.

I say they are the nature triple type, bugs, plants, and lizards are all found in nature, and also have a relationship, bugs eat plants, and lizards eat bugs, being a producer, a herbivore, and a carnivore, plus this is the only place lizard can go as wyrm will be paired with dinosaur and dragon, and plus raika is dead, cause it’s RIP. As for the remaining tiros, I say thunder, rock, and fire for elements, dinosaur, dragon, and wyrm for ancient, warrior, spellcaster, and zombie for human, and illusion, fairy, and fiend for myth.

To me they seem inspired by fossil fuels. You kill a RIP to get marikoube, who I think is meant to be unrefined crude oil, then use your dead RIPs as fuel for your mechanical looking Raikas, similar to actual oil That's why it's those three, since we have a TON of fossils from those 3 groups, plant specifically is what usually makes up crude oil. The only thing refuting this for me is that there's no dinosaurs.

The way I see the combination of Plant, Insect and Reptile the 3 types is that both Insects and reptiles in nature use Plants and trees as food, protection and a place to live.

we just got this small package in Master Duel and uh... I just straight up think they sucks. And turn the volume down on the music if you want me to listen to you with volume on and not just subtitles. This combo to get 2 link materials on the field is taking forever compared to other archetypes "You got one of your guys on the field? You can special summon this now." This is just a power creep card that will replace a bunch of old cool plant cards because they are not a 1 card combo...

Ok…those cards artworks are BEAUTIFUL! Especially the Plant Monsters (I’m a HUGE lover of Yokai-like monsters). But…I don’t understand WHY they chose Reptiles? Kusarigami is serviceable, but even then and given the art and themes of the other monster types, I think they would’ve been better off with Zombie instead, and I’d argue even Fairy. The way plants and insects play a huge part in the supernatural aspects of Yokai/the dead, makes it all the weirder that they chose reptiles, and it’s not like Yugioh hasn’t been a stranger to making reptilian-like monsters Zombies either (see: The Snake Hair).

Feudal Japanese battlefield iconography. Gashadokuro is the base monster for a bit of this, but a lot of it is just general Sengoku and Edo-period monster myths, similar to Mayakashi but with a battlefield bend.
