That was great information about leaving your reptile kids in someone's care while you are vacationing. The timers I use all the time if you have timer that holds only one you can put a power strip on that and then plug more than one fixture in to that power strip it works well that way to. Hope you have a awesome Sunday Elle. GOD BLESS P. S. Keep up the great work.

But these are great options, hopefully we can have one of our adult kids do it since it’s only a few days!

Great video! My family has not gone on a vacation since we got into keeping reptiles but would like to go to the Narcisse snake dens in Manitoba when things open up so this will definitely come in handy. When I lived in Virginia and we would go on vacation my mom would hand write care instructions (from the cats' perspective) for who ever was watching our cats, it definitely worked, and they would text my mom or dad everyday with updates on the cats.

For my beardie it’s better to get a temp gun to check the entire basking area of your tank if your thermostat isn’t picking up what you want. Once you get the temp gun you’ll be able to see more accurate temps and see what you have to change/ keep.

@@gameraddictedx7443 Thank you !
@ellesreptiles3 жыл бұрын
Yep, a temp gun is perfect. 😊 Also having your heat bulb in a dome with a dimmer switch is also super helpful. That way you can get a higher wattage bulb and just dim it until it's perfect, as opposed to trying to find the right wattage. I know you can use regular thermostats with ceremic heat emitters (I get mine from Amazon). I'm not sure how they'd work with heat bulbs, since they'd be turning the whole bulb on and off.

The number completely depends on the dragon, but the general rule is however many they will eat in 10-15 minutes, 2-3 times a day. This could be 20 or it could be 100. I did a video all about how to feed them here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJnGgpV3ZqyGmK8
