he made some very fair points and the interviewers always ask little cheeky questions and instead of him been a coward like most managers and change the subject, he took the questions head on and answered them truthfully

All King wanted to do was try something different. That's why he put the players in positions they wouldn't usually play and the team played well last night. It was good to see them pass the ball around rather than keep going for the long ball the whole time. We need more of that. King should have been able to control his temper though. I guess all the criticism he was getting lead to that

fair fucks to him. he had the team for 2 weeks. we lost a game we were expected to loose (away to one of the best teams in the world) and won one we were expected to win. Both results were better than they were under Trap (1-6 and 1-2) with brutal performances. I don't blame him one bit for reacting like he did under the scrutiny of the beady eyed media. he seems like a nice man and he's done himself proud.

Noel King made a fool of himself here.. Tony asked fair questions which weren't an attack on the players or their performance.. We have the bones of a decent side, so why cant we play our best players in their natural positions! We need a manager who recognises this and isn't afraid to gamble and trust our lads to do the job!

Fair criticism considering he played not one, but two DM's at home against Kazakhstan and played two strikers on the wing. Also, he could've avoided calling them a tricky team and just the lads beat what was in front of them. I don't know how he could feel he is immune to criticism, as that is what he is suggesting. Just because you're interim manager doesn't mean you can do whatever you want, putting attacking organisation out the window

And it's great to see Andy Reid back in a Green Jersey, someone who can pass a ball properly.

Some harsh criticism of King on here. The man was clearly feeling the pressure and responded poorly to legitimate questions. It doesn't make him an asshole. He was clearly annoyed with the RTE panel from friday night and he let his temper get the better of him. He's just not fit for the job.No need for people to be making nasty comments on him

Wes Hoolahan would find it very hard to continue given how totally underused he was and that Noel King is a disgrace. King should not have been given this job and if after a game he cannot handle a media interview is further proof why his place is Coaching at lower levels. Glad he's looking forward to holding his head high in Dublin would not think he would get much of a positive reception elsewhere.

Del Boy - interim manager of Ireland. If this is the kind of 'coach' working behind the scenes for Irish soccer we are in bigger trouble than I thought. Both his interviews after this match and Germany were an embarrassment. Those 'fans' who defend him and vilify the panel know fuck all about the game they say they love... Stone age stuff...

The man is only interim manager for two competitive games for jaysus-sakes. Give him a break. Yes he took a scorp but so what? It's no big deal in the long run of things!

nice one Noel, fair play to you......Ireland is full of people looking to always find the negative side of things. Noel was in charge for two games.. Germany 3 Ireland 0, and Ireland 3 Kazakhstan 1.... Compare that to 1.2 MILLION EURO MAN Trap...Ireland 1 Germany 6, Kazakhstan 1 Ireland 2..Id call that a job well done,so congrats Noel, fair play to you.

Get a life will ya. They lost to a world class Germany and beat Kazahkstan comfortably. People like Tony Donohoe are everything wrong with football in this country. They hound everybody out of the job, even people like McCarthy who had enormous success with the team. Dunphy makes €150,000 of taxpayer money, Bill O'Herlihy is a spokesman for tobacco companies. The cheek of Donhoe to try bully him. King did his job, end of.
