Republic Services 2023 Driver of the Year ~ Mack LR McNeilus Meridian

The Mount Prospect shop’s very own Felix Martinez was nominated as the National Waste & Recycling Association’s 2023 Driver of the Year! Republic bought this trophy truck with his name, and in this video we see him driving it during its first few weeks on route! It was great to see him again, and even though the lighting wasn’t ideal I think the video still turned out well. Big shoutout to Felix for always being so welcoming and taking a few minutes out of his day to share some of his extensive knowledge of the industry. Those who have met him know he is a true professional who always takes pride in his work and ensures his customers are taken care of. Felix- Thank you for your 26 years and counting of service to the community!

Me too, always great to see drivers recognized for their hard work. Close, but the initial rollout was out of the Mount Prospect site, back in the ARC Disposal days however many of those B-series’ did infiltrate Melrose Park too

@@Ethanguerin45 I believe so but don’t quote me on that I think they dump the recycling at groot off of elmhurst Road which makes sense to do recycling last since groot is open 24 hours as opposed to where they dump the trash which you gotta be on the scale by 3:30
