Some of the grocery prices are due to local stores price gouging! Last year I pointed this out to the manager of the local grocery store here and when he tried to tell me it was supply chain issues and inflation I told him I knew that wasn’t true. I told him some of his prices were , in some cases $3 higher per item than the same item sold for 30 miles down the road. I shared this with some lady friends and we all started comparing prices and telling the manager, when he was caught. Guess what, the prices started dropping…..and that’s been over a year ago (2022). In the recent past another grocery store opened and all the prices have dropped like a rock!

Take the receipt with you to your local store and ask to speak to the manager and do what I did and just flat out say, I know your gouging, it’s not supply chain issues or inflation, “it’s gouging”. Start telling your family and friends and spread the word. If people confront them, they’ll be more likely to stop. The cream cheese company has no control over what your local store does.

I bought a regular box of saltine crackers. And when I open up the box the packages of crackers. There was less than four of the crackers missing. Because I had made the packaging smaller. But left the box in the same original size. And it cost twice as much as I did 6 years ago 7 1/2 years ago. And they just continue to gouge the prices.

The biggest problem with groceries is the corporations have bought each other out so there is no competition. In my town there is King Soopers (Kroger), Albertsons (other names in other locations) and Safeway. In 2013 or 2014, Safeway bought out Albertsons, and last year they bought out Kroger stores. Technically, they are all the same store. Mitch McConnell finally announced his retirement at the end of the year. What is going to happen there?

Mitch is not going to retire. He is just going to step back from leadership. I heard that he was strongly urged to do so at age 82. He did not want to. He has stated that he wants to die on the House floor. What a devoted guy!

In the shameful exploitation of Fani Willis and Nathan Wade by GOP, the question was not explored by the prosecutors as to why witness for the prosecution,Terrance Bradley had been talking to Ashleigh Merchant, the GOP attorney, in the first place. As I recall Wade fired Bradley from the law firm for assaulting a female client or staff. Bradley looked REALLY uncomfortable when he was on the stand, sweating, hunched into himself, looking down. I could be so wrong, but he looks guilty of something. I want to know if he did this to avenge himself upon Wade and if he got caught in his own web. He certainly screwed his career. Did you hear about Kellogg's promoting eating cereal for dinner for those who don't have much money. It was like a Marie Antoinette let them eat cake moment.
