I used to be into higher styles than 2013, but I'm not. 2016 and 2017 sparta remixes sound AMAZING, but are not memorable, because a lot of them are just covers (not all). In my opinion, there were more memrable remixes in 2012 (and in 2013), than there are now. And looking back at 2012 and 13 styled remixes, there are a lot of memorable AND good-sounding ones. I'm actually more into 2012 style now and I make most remixes for alt now, but don't expect much, I never intended to be good at making sparta remixes, I make them for fun and some of them turn out to be good and I hope those good ones are memorable for some. (I made full 8x8 for fun too, because It was my dream to make it back in 2015!!)
