@@tnmtnmorning1178 For Jordan the perfect balm for his coming out of that horrible illness. For Rex a lovely testimonial to a life well lived. For the rest of us, a glimpse of what might be an oasis of fond retrospection in a desert of coarse insanity.

Is it just me or Jordan looks younger and fresher when he's out and about, smiling and connecting with people, as opposed to him being in indoors, sitting there all serious:) I really enjoyed watching him being this way, very refreshing😊

Without exaggeration I have watched Dr. Peterson's lectures, interviews, and clips 2 or 3 hundred times and I was thinking the exact same thing, his body language absolutely shouted... "I can breathe here- my heart is happy here." What a gift Dr Peterson was able to give a man who was so important to Canadians, wish there were more men like the two of them and it might not all feel so chaotic all the time.

Well then you can thank your passed away for the loss of billions of dollars in investment in newfoundland and Labrador. As he wrote a hit peace for Mr Harper so he could kill it, but you did get the new hydro dam that was part of it,but only on the condition that Danny Williams resigned.

Rex Murphy was Canada's greatest journalist. He was the embodiment of everything we need and don't have from our media today. Perceptive, insightful, and above all else, truthful. Unfortunately, we lost him when we needed him the most. In fact, Canada needs a 1000 more Rex Murphy's right now, and we lost the only one we had. Rest in peace Rex. Thank you JP! ❤‍🩹

Watching Rex on CBC throughout my life, and as a constant fixture in Canadian households; seeing his frailty in his final years, and then his passing was a bit jarring. To be fair, when my husband passed away some yrs ago, people from the church brought lots of food, cards and listening ears, and when my daughter's best friend for 36 yrs suddenly passed away this past Jan. the entire community where she, her husband and 2 little daughters had recently moved to, across the country in Dartmouth, brought mountains of food both to their house as well as to the Celebration of Life ceremony. And I met my daughter at the Halifax airport having flown from the West coast to the East coast to be with my friends, the devastated parents. There are decent people

This was magnificent, thank you! I'm not Canadian, but as a lifelong lover of Canada and its wonderful people, I loved listening to Mr Murphy on CBC programmes such as Cross-Country Checkup, over which he presided for many years. In my mind, he always represented the very best in journalism at the CBC, back when the broadcaster was still a cross-cultural, unifying force in Canada. Of course, these days, along with the BBC in Britain and NPR in the States, it is no longer. Regardless, once upon a time there were journalists like Rex Murphy, who cared about people, community, and truth as foundations for common discourse. And I hope that someday, people will look back at giants like him and realise it's not too late to return to those principles. RIP, Rex Murphy.

I spent most of my teens and twenties in Canada and became aware of Rex Murphy’s work then. My father’s employer transferred us there in the early 80s first to Newfoundland in fact and then to Alberta. After moving home to Scotland in 97, I lost touch with much of Canadian media and Mr Murphy’s singular presence in it. It was Jordan Peterson’s and Rex Murphy’s conversations online, offering excoriating condemnation of the excesses of Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government and Covid overreach in particular that brought me back to Rex. What a gift for language and its use he had. I’m very sorry to hear of his passing. This was a lovely tribute to a great man and a truly unique part of the world.

My heart is too full for easy words. When we got the news that Rex had passed away, I kept thinking how sorrowful I was that I had not got the chance to meet him in person. And I felt so sorrowful that there would never be another conversation with Dr. Peterson. And so this documentary is such an unspeakably precious gift. To remember how desperately ill Dr. Peterson was when he first talked to Rex and to compare that fragile pain-wracked man with the rosy-cheeked bright-eyed man talking with Rex in this documentary- it’s such a gift. And that Rex had the chance to give all that he had to give while he was alive. I have had strong ties to Newfoundland through childhood friends for many years and this brought me so close to them, and to Rex and Dr. Peterson. This is a tribute to a life very well lived indeed. As they were playing music the ruckus and excitement caused the stage to shift and nearly collapsed. The show was saved however by the newfoundlanders who held the stage up with their own hands until the completion of the song. The band was so moved that they wrote a song to pay tribute to the kindness of the people. Mist by Protest The Hero

I agree. I am a day late to watch this, but I'm still the richer on this holiday Monday morning. Such a beautiful and deserving tribute to a man of acute insight, the courage of his convictions and an unforgettable way with words. He will be sorely missed.

As a Newfoundlander this is very much appreciated! I’ve always truly believed this is one of the most special places on earth. Something that seems lost on more and more Newfoundlanders of my younger generation. I hope we can continue to maintain our identity and our special culture

Pause button….Wait! gotta fill my coffee cup and watch this, possibly shed a tear or two in gratitude. My daughter in law NL-er. When her family comes to the west coast to visit, the house is filled with camaraderie and good cheer and the world seems brighter. ❤️🇨🇦

God bless his good and gentle soul. Thank you so much for this video. My family is from Nova Scotia, close by Newfoundland. My ancestors lived on Digby Point where a direct ancestor, Charles McNeill, rowed out in his dory, got caught up in a storm and died leaving a wife, Ruth Thurber, and seven children. There's a quiet strength and decency to the people in this area of North America that's uniquely beautiful. Good Angels bear to His arms, Rex Murphy.

I’m a Bluenoser married to a Newfoundlander from around the Bay. Having spent 10 years over 3 separate periods I always had the greatest love and respect for NL. Since I first saw him on CBC in late 70’s, Rex and the quality of his work and depth of his experiences put me in awe of his delivery of a message. A true Newfoundlander and Canadian. He will be very much missed.

This is beautiful. I began learning about Newfoundland while studying Canada with my children in their homeschool curriculum. It is now on my bucketlist of places I want to visit someday. The people and scenery just seem to be unlike anything else. Thanks to Come From Away I saw an insight of how kind and generous the people of Gander must be. Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you Mr. Peterson and Daily Wire, for making this beautiful tribute to a true Canadian icon and legend in journalism and political/cultural commentary. For many years Rex Murphy's 'Point of View', on CBC television, was one of the highlights of my weekly viewing experience. That of course is but a small part of his remarkable career. A great Canadian and a great person, Mr. Rex Murphy you were loved by millions and will be truly missed. RIP sir.

As a Newfoundlander, I didn’t agree with everything Rex had an opinion upon, but I am grateful for this tribute. I’m sure his family and friends are appreciative, along with his fellow colleagues at the CBC and beyond. Thank you!🇨🇦

Rex was a wordsmith who could forge an experience from an idea, capture imagination with a tale and show the plain truth and beauty of life in the simplest terms to anyone who heard him. Like most Newfoundlanders I've known, he had that ability to welcome you in as an old friend and bring you alone for the ride, even if you just met. He will be missed.

Beautiful tribute. Rest peacefully Rex. Your razor sharp wit and barbs that forced one to look at a thesaurus to keep up with your impressive lexicon will be sorely missed. Thank you for your years of willingness to go toe to toe with the establishment. We enjoyed seeing you open for Dr. Peterson. It was a gift to have the Newfie and the good ol Alberta boys reunited one more time ❤

When you go to Newfoundland all the troubles of the world you left behind roll off of you. Life seems simple again. It's so hard to describe how different you feel within minutes of getting off the plane. For me it's heaven. RIP Rex. You embodied Newfoundland in every way.

Thanks JP for a heartwarming dialogue with an icon of a great province. I visited the Rock in 2019 . Sensational trip throughout this huge island. An absolute MUST see.
