A skills assessment is often the first step to most Australian permanent work visas. including General Skilled Migration and Permanent Employer Sponsored visas. Without a skills assessment you can’t apply for all general skilled migration visas including:
- Skilled Independent (Subclass 189)
- Skilled Nominated (Subclass 190)
- Regional Nominated (Subclass 489) or the new (Subclass 491)
If you can’t meet the requirements for a skills assessment, then you can't apply for these visas. Therefore it is the first thing you should consider.
