This July will mark 29 years since this happened, making Robin 56. Sadly, her father, Charles, died last year from heart failure at the age of 81.

It’s been 28 years since this happened so Robin is 55 now. It’s strange to believe that the intruder was a mannequin. I mean who knew? This happened on a Monday and 18 days before my 12th birthday. Thank goodness her parents got rid of the mannequin. Very strange.

I remember watching this episode when it first aired in the early 90s and I'm so happy it's been uploaded to KZbin several times.

I hope Robin didn’t feel guilty about telling the cops what she saw what she thought was an intruder but it was actually a mannequin. Very odd.

30 years have passed since this happened so Robin is 57 now. At the time I lived in Charlotte, North Carolina with my family. My brother was 9 3/4 turning 10.

I would've left it in place to scare away the burgelers

She should've turned on the light before wasting 911's time with a false alarm

Golly, a mannequin! Robin thought it was a burglar.

Curious as to why she didn't turn on the hall light--that hall was dark!! But then we wouldn't have a situation to watch!

1:48 Aren't they ALL "HOT CALLS" and in the middle of a situation?? That's what 911 is for right??!

@Chris Bradley The mom probably put the mannequin in the hall while the girl was out at the sleepover as a joke to surprise her-it worked!!!
