Bunnymen 86 Philharmonic Hall , Liverpool was the best live sound I've ever heard. Will's guitar was mind blowing. After the gig we saw him at a bus stop, in his parka holding a guitar case. Nods were exchanged

I saw them recently in London. Still sounded brilliant. Was a great night. Of course, no Les or Pete. But still great.

Yeah, I'd seen them over the years (82-2009) and he always seemed to like to be out walking near the show. Actually saw him on the street near Radio City in 09 just walking around earlier in the day.

Out of all the guitar teachers out there it's great to see someone who really identifies with soooo many of the same bands and guitarists I do. Just killer. Echo and the Bunnymen for the love of God... what's not to like?! Thanks man... many, many thanks!

Along with Honeyman-Scott, Marr and McGeoch (and Sergeant!), another guitarist from that era and who really helped define it for me was Neil Clark, of Lloyd Cole & The Commotions. Great riffs, beautiful picking, wonderful arrangements - what he did on “Perfect Skin” kicked my butt, “Heartbroken” is singular, and don’t get me started on his outro for “Forest Fire.” Would love to hear your take on anything by him. Thanks ~

You mentioned 5 of my 6 favourie guitarists of all time just there, nice to hear Neil Clark get a mention hes a genius you left out the Brilliant Sean O Hagan out of Microdisney you have excellent taste

Absolutely love it. I think "Monkeys" and "Crocodiles" from the same album would be amazing. That ascending guitar part that begins at 0:59 on "Crocodiles" is simultaneously beautiful and baffling.

I closed my eyes and suddenly I was transported to an era when I was young and impressionable!! You deserve praise for rescuing the Bunnymen, I don't see many tutorials on their repertoire on KZbin. You certainly know how to offer a varied musical diet, catering to a wide range of audiences and keeping your channel interesting!! What will you come up with next?

Will Sergeant is a fantastic player! I really dig his style - especially on the early Bunnymen stuff. Great lesson, Adrien! Your videos are always top-notch. If I may, could I list a few song lesson suggestions? I would love to see you do “Intrigue In Tangiers” by The Chameleons. I’ve been learning it by ear - but I’m unsure about quite a few parts. You being a superior guitarist to me I’m sure you could figure out the whole song accurately. Another song that would be cool to see you do would be “Beast of Burden” by The Rolling Stones. I know The Stones are a little mainstream, and it might not be a song you’d typically choose to do. But I would enjoy it!

4:27. Believe it or not, the opening lick might not be Will's creation. Producer Ian Broudie is supposedly the one who came up with that riff. Will may have played it on record, but Broudie created it and did a double-track trick with the tape recorders that made the lick shimmer and shine like a Byrds lick.

Despite the very very shameful gap, it's always well worth the wait. You are the only guy doing this specific material on a consistent basis, and at a high quality. So glad you're feeling well again. "Father Christmas" by the Kinks is my vote for the Holiday Classic.

Weird to suggest on an Echo & the Bunnymen lesson, but have you ever listened to the band Shudder to Think? Recent discovery and getting quite obsessed over their Pony Express Record album. Seems to be right up your ally given your Slint lesson and other oddball guitar choices (very much a compliment). Wouldn't mind a lesson on one of their songs let's leave it at that. ;)

He’s back! Hallelujah, a week without Adrian was bloody tough - and as usual (country aside) fantastic choice as ever…saw them play at the Whisky in LA, love Will’s playing, how’s about ‘A promise’? - or anything from Ocean Rain, the greatest album ever made (just ask Ian McCulloch)…
