Rescue From the Bin a Bay Tree For Bonsai??

Today we rescue a trashed Bay tree in the hope to save it for bonsai work.

Haws 2 Gallon watering can introduction to the channel, and some nice brass roses for it.

I will do my best to keep it alive! Totally wrong time of year but hopefull when i bring it back in the new greenhouse it will stimulate and grow.

Just picked up a bay tree in my local garden centre, priced at £50.99 I got it for £10!! Plenty of leaves on it although a few are yellow, hoping I can revive it and keep it alive!

Sorry about your pest problems. I hope you manage to keep the greenhouse pest free. Fingers crossed for the tree to survive. I also use the bottle trick sometimes and it really does make a difference.

Pesky pests lol part of the challenge I suppose. Yes the bottle over the top really does work well I’ve used it on a number of occasions

Try using the spray bottle to wet the top surface first. Once surface is good and wet, that will then allow the water to soak in without running out.

Scott, we need to make and sell giant fizzy pop bottles that fit over a full tree.. they apparently work miracles. I’d never kill a tree again 😜. Great updates and good luck with the bay tree.

These were all from seed yes i beleive i got them online from ebay and amazingly i had great results, both these and the catalpa, i will try and find the purchase and let you know who i got them from.

No, the seeds should be imported from an approved source that ensures they are free of insects and disease. That's the official answer, wink , wink.

As per Nigels answer they should be approved and certified i have now stopped sending any of my Jades out as i need to find out where they can be sent and what checks and certifcation needs to be made.
