This video is the second update of our Buy-Out rescue day. The first group had a lot of critical horses in it, but you'll find in this second update we are still bringing in horses in heartbreaking conditions. Each horse we purchase is through a $450 buyout, your contribution brings us closer to saving more lives. Every donation could be the difference between saying yes or no to a horse in need. Thus, your support is urgently needed.

I used to watch this and get upset because I thought "Why are they giving the last act of kindness to all of these horses?!" ..... I wanted happy endings of them being rehomed and running free in a pasture. NOW, I 100% understand the absolute importance of rescuing as many of the ones that are suffering to put them out of their hell. It is heartbreaking, but a sigh of relief knowing that they are at peace. THANK YOU so much for what you do, I can only imagine it is heart breaking 😢😢😢

Thank you for posting this, sharing what you’ve learned about this. I hope it helps others to understand. I often see those questioning comments, some accusing Horse Plus of terrible things. It does take some watching and learning to understand what’s really going on. Being prey animals, horses attempt to hide their pain. They don’t exhibit all the signs and sounds that humans would.

I know it’s awful for the humans. Devastating. Every time. Every horse. These guys are warriors, doing what must be done. Doing what they each can. We can all match that. Be the change that you want want to see in the world. You are the only thing that you can control. Every little thing counts. It all matters.

That poor girl with the feet, omg how horrible was that! That didn't happen overnight or in a couple of weeks. That was chronic neglect. That poor mare - how on earth could anyone still have tried to make money on her - it’s so heartbreaking! Thank you for relieving her of the god knows how long of being in such terrible pain. I am so glad you did it immediately. She couldn’t have gone any more than she did. Ride high and free over the rainbow precious one 🐎 🐴🌈 This 2nd lot of equines looked mostly in a lot better shape than the initial ones. What was really noticeable in most of them, was a lot of the stress from the auction was missing, they somehow, even used to so long having pain, happy to be outside together, in the sun - they were chomping away although terribly dehydrated. They somehow seemed happy. They are safe, they have been rescued - they have a good chance of a long rest life in I hope loving and caring families. God bless you all at horse plus! You are walking angels 😇❤️

One of the toughest things to do for ones beloved horse is the most loving thing to do and the responsible thing to do ... the last act of kindness .. making decisions like this is part of having fur babies in our families. I have had horses prone to laminitis and its my responsibility to manage their condition just like one handles their childs diabetic condition...tawny you and your crew are angels on earth ..i could see the relief in these horses eyes as they unloaded ... they know they are in a safe place with food and love and humans who are not afraid of making the tough decision regarding the ladt act of kindness . Thankyou to everyone who is part of the rescue intake.

I'm sending hugs and courage to your whole team to keep going with the hard decisions, especially your vets and those on the sharp end of the rescues. The fact you make a decision to let the horses cross the rainbow bridge rather than trying to eak out a limited life full of medical treatment with no guaranteed long term outcome can only be a kindness.

It was so hard seeing my husband have to suffer with cancer, and thought, we treat are animals better than humans. We put animals down and end the suffering, but we tell a human to lay there and suffer till you die. I think if everyone had to watch a person suffer till they die, they would appreciate the significance of the job you do for these animals that can’t do anything for themselves.

Thank you for taking the pain away from those horses that needed it so badly. I felt sick looking at the xrays of that foundered mare's feet. The way her coffin bones were shoved through the bottoms of her soles, and just disintegrated. What kind of sociopathic MONSTER looks at their horse and thinks it's ok to let them suffer like this for the YEARS it took for her feet to get this bad? I wish there was some accountability. Laws must change! I'm glad some of these rescues appeared younger and healthy. The affectionate ones break my heart. Did some little girl love them once? Do they wonder where she went? I want to take them all home and love them for the rest of their days.
