That's true. Few days ago I wached one video with T1 in similar condition or even bether but this guy didn't give chance for save it. He just take engine and some elements fromm it to save other T1. He said that it wasn't worth restoration because he would spend 100 000 for restoration and this bus was worth 30 000. I don't know what currency was it but even if it was pounds T1 in good condition are worth almost 100 000 so I think that he was wrong. It's really sad.

Sweet video. That's a lot of work. I have a 65. The T1 is the beetle. T2 was the micro bus. Just got a T1 for a baja project. maybe I will make some videos of the transformation.

Tim no T1 is the beetle. Have been building them for 20 years. T2 is the van. As it was the second vehicle produced. The bug was the first vehicle they produced and labeled T1. Look it up.

Bei dem Baujahr lohnt es sogar ihn zu restaurien wenn noch weniger übrig ist. Die Blechteile bekommt man fast alle noch. Und der Wert eines solchen Busses ist schon abartig. Ein Samba in 1a geht über 100000 und mehr. Daher Viel Glück beim Herrichten. Und wenn jemand noch so einen Fall hat und ihn loswerden will, ich nehme ihn sofort!

There are a lot of vehicles that are left to rot and are in desperate need of restoration, but this just ain't worth it. What is left is rotten and not salvageable. What could be left that would be considered original? Not much. If you shot blast or acid bathed to see what was left, I feel you'd be carrying a bag of bits home with you!

Glückwunsch zur Bergung! Aber so wies aussieht sind die Seitenflächen, das Dach, die Bodengruppe und die komplette Front im Arsch.. Schätze mal man konnte nur noch die Achsen verwenden oder wie ging es weiter?

Manni Manta ich kenne (zwar nicht persönlich) hier auch 4 die sich nicht scheuen in den letzten Busch für T1 und T2 zu kriechen wo weniger übrig ist...dem Bulli hat aber der Zahn der Zeit zu viel abgenagt...btw die Front ist wie die Scheinwerfer und etc. Höchstwahrscheinlich Opfer von Souvenirjägern geworden...schrottdiebe hätten den gleich im ganzen mitgenommen oder alles in handliche Stücke geflext...aber genug der Traurigkeit...auf jeden Fall gibt es Sonderausstattung bei T1 und T2 die sehr rar sind und deswegen werden manche der für immer schlafenden Schönheiten in Hallen abgestellt wo sie zumindest Dokumentiert werden und vor dem weiteren Verfall geschützt sind

Rainer Zufall anhand der Fahrgestellnummer kann man sich neue Fahrzeugschein und Fahrzeugbrief ausstellen lassen das ist nicht das große Problem schwer wird es noch ordentlich Ersatzteile zu bekommen für die Bremsanlage weil die Jungs vom TÜV müssen trotzdem ihr Okay geben dass er einen neuen Fahrzeugbrief bekommt Schraubenden Gruß aus Hamburg
