Rescue on the OBX

On the morning of December 7,2021 the Bald Eagle II trawler ran aground and the 4 crew members were rescued. The Outer Banks of North Carolina is known as The Graveyard Of The Atlantic. Many ships have sunk along this coast.
This video follows the efforts made to free this vessel before it was claimed by the sea. You will get to see step by step from lifeguards jumping waves to carry the bowline out to another trawler to excavators digging through the night. Finally, you will watch as it is pulled away to Norfolk Virginia.
No graveyard for this ship.

Great video. One peeve - “rope” is the raw material. Once it gets used for something, it’s a “line” with a name. Like “tow line.” Not rope. Thx for the footage!

Well at least she's sitting on the sand and not on the rocks so to be a little bit easier to be able to get her back out to see so there shouldn't be that much damage on her she's sitting here rocking back and forth on her keel so hopefully they'll be able to just get a good tugboat and pull her nose around and wait for the tide to come up and get her back to the dock and get a good damage report hope it ain't nothing wrong with her I hope and pray there's nothing wrong with it she's a good looking boat

She has made it up to the shipyard. I have not heard how much damage she had. I did see a pic of her lifted out of the water.
