I feel the struggle, my dog is often too easily scared by new materials, be it because of the way they taste, smell, feel or sound, so getting him to really try out any new food-toys is a bit hard. Breaking the nut half open is exactly what I would have suggested!

So cute how they smelled the nut the passed on opening it

I have heard the word tamarind before but I thought it was a small monkey 🐒 not a nut from Madagascar or Africa! Lemurs are so sweet and curious and now both they and I have learnt something new so thank you Niko and all caretakers who works in your Zoo caring for the animals with love!👍❤😊 Susanne 👱♀️and Trollet 🐱.

A tamarin (no d) is indeed a primate! Golden lion tamarins are gorgeous.

Brown lemurs reminded me of my cat! My cat acts the same way when trying to get her to eat something healthy and new. I knew about the ring tailed lemurs but didn’t realize there was a different colored lemur. I enjoyed watching this video. South Carolina USA.

I feel that humans had bigger enrichment trying to figure out how to interest lemurs in the nuts :P

Awesome way to get them thinking 🤔

These videos are so special, I think I might actually smell lemur. Or is it the tamarind fruit? Smell-o-vision. Ha! I’m loving the videos. Thanks, lemur buddies.

Good idea to include one partially opened one. That'll speed them up in figuring it out.

Great stuff. Clearly the Lemurs didn’t fancy being enriched.

I want a tamarind nut now. 😅

Haha. I feel you! Often when I get a new toy or new pillow etc for my cats, they are much more interested in the box it came in. So now there are boxes all around the apartment (even on my desk) and packing-string flying around. I mean it's cheaper I guess 🤣🙈

Keep trying and pretty soon they will get excited to see you putting the Tamarind out for them. I had never heard of Tamrind before.

We have tamarind's here in Australia too, my primary school and high school both had them so I have many memories eating them straight off the trees. Lemurs are one of my favourite animals, great video 😍🥰

I’ve always heard about tamarind but I never realized it could be used as enrichment. That’s really cool. Cheers from Ohio.

Tamarind is very common in Mexico, tamarind water is made and also tamarind candy. I didn't know where it's from.

I suppose that if they haven't been shown by parents how to break open the must to get the treat then not many would work it out!

I love your channel and videos! I think you might get a lot more success on youtube if you start trying to use the #Shorts feature with videos under a minute long. I still love the longer, informative videos; but the shorts do really really well in the algorithm!

Tamarind candy is popular in South Texas. I still, after many attempts of trying, don't care for the taste.
