2005 Nissan Frontier Code P0346 With Slip Light Fixed

Easy fixed with 2005 Frontier 4.0 with code P0345 and Slip light together showing up on my dash. I just replaced the camshaft sensor on the the driver side just by the firewall behind the engine .

Just had this problem on my 2010 Nissan Frontier. Had a Check Engine Light, with a slip light PLUS a VDC OFF light. Took it to my parts store and had them check it out. P0346 code, so having watched your video already, I got a cam shaft positioning sensor, ($72!!!!), and followed your instructions to a TEE. Took the negative post off the battery for about 10 minutes, started it, and took it around the block. All lights out, and truck runs great. It's 2022 and it's still relevant on a 2012 Nissan Frontier 4.0. You saved my A$$! My truck left me dead in a parking lot. After an hour of playing around and getting AAA to come and tow me (which I was able to cancel) - It finally started. I got it home after stalling several times on the way home. You described my exact problem. Without a ODBII of my own - I decided to bite the bullet and use your recommendation. The whole process took less than 20 minutes - after I picked up the replacement camshaft sensor. Thank you!!!

This really helped me out man! I appreciate it. I just fixed my 2010 nissan frontier that was having the same problems. Cost me $77 to do it myself. Can't beat that 👍👍

I got a 2010 too. Did the same thing EXCEPt resetting it. The light came back again. I’ll try to do this too. 👍

Right on Daniel, thanks a whole bunch. For your subscribers or any one trying to replace this sensor, the electrical plug can be a bit difficult to remove. Just press or push the blue plastic part of the plug in, that should release it from the sensor.

I have a question are there 2 of those sensors? I replaced the same one and it runs great !! However in Nissan Frontier forums everybody says there are 2.(Dos) Camshaft Sensors,, Driver side and Passenger side,, is this true?

Ferrari shop wants $29,550 for this problem. She came to me & I gave her $20,00.00 and got a happy owner. The story is YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE CERTIFIED to fix anything. A certified person only knows how to pass a test. A dealership/certified mean they are certified to rip you off- big time.

So I replaced a relay for the horn and the slip light came on and stayed on. All electrics work, no issue with brakes, sensors, all fluid levels maximum.... Checked the fuse box ground.... Did the whole drive straight and unhook the battery things.... No luck, still on. It's the only light on. What can clear this darn light out? I can't see the 2wd 4x4 icon and select drive mode with the slip light on. Any ideas on the fix?

Mine is running so bad it will not pull off I got code for crank shaft sensor and changed it with no luck. It is getting oil on top of plugs I dried them off (4) I could get to still will not pull out of its tracks. NO MONEY TO JUST THROW AT IT AND ITS BEEN RUFF WITH NO FAMILY OR FRIENDS AROUND TO TAKE US PLACES ESPECIALLY SINCE WERE A FAMILY OF 4. Has anyone else experienced this with there 05 xterra 4.0

Probably wrong sensor, any short of the sensor wire . Make sure what's the code it's giving you, did you get the same sensor at the auto parts?

If you have a valve cover leak. Oil gets in those sensors and messes them up. Make sure no oil gets in there from valve cover and you should be good bro

Flobama bassin I got a 05 it’s running like hell will not pull itself changed the crank sensor and I see oil leak on top of plugs cleaned the oil off and replaced the 4 plugs I could get to. Still skipping/running so bad it will not pull off. I don’t want to throw a bunch of money at it and not fix the problem especially since I am not working and didn’t get a penny for the government or unemployment. Had my business started for a couple months before everything shut down so I need my suv up and running but can’t just spend money that I don’t have hoping to get it running anyone who might have faced this problem. Sucks having kids with no vehicle and no family or friends around

I have a similar problem on my 2007 Nissan frontier. I was driving down the highway and all of a sudden the slip light turned on and the and light. The the fuel gauge went down to low and had the gas light on even though it was full. Would you have any idea if that is the same problem? The truck is still running fine.
