Such a fun looking game! Thinking of fostering dogs, a Twitch Creative crafter that I follow has furbabies...and they help her and the other hoomans foster rescue dogs from the Canada branch of the Texas Chihuahua Rescue group!

That would be excellent if you could start fostering dogs! I have volunteered at two of my local shelters since I was 16. In those almost 6 years, I've helped socialize 200-300 dogs and fostered 22 dogs until they found their forever homes! It is such a rewarding experience and shelters desperately need the help, especially due to the number of owner surrenders there have been now that quarantine has ended in a lot of places. People are deciding they didn't need a dog in the first place, which is extremely sad. Fostering or volunteering your time are two of the best ways to help a shelter right now since they are so overcrowded! Not sure if you live in the US or not, but 1.6 million dogs are euthanized in the United Stated every year due to lack of space, adopters, or fosters. We can change the world through helping one animal at a time! Have a wonderful day!

As someone who took on responsibility of an entire colony of feral cats as a result of ONE stray female, the message to always always always spay/neuter pets CANNOT be said enough. All it took was one escaped pet to have two daughters who then also had litters and now you have an explosion of wild-born cats who are completely unadoptable and would be put to sleep if I took them to the shelter.

Mori, I agree completely! I foster dogs in my local area, but I have definitely seen what you mean about the feral cat population explosion! My boyfriend's work actually has four cats that hang around it: a mama cat, her two adult babies that they first started seeing as kittens, and a very hissy male. Fortunately, in the years before I knew my boyfriend, they were able to humanely trap the mama and her then adolescent kittens (1 male and 1 female kitten) and get them spayed and neutered! They still have been unable to trap the hissy male, but they are still working on trying to get him fixed as well.

@@hannahcollins_thehomelibrarian yeah they can be very hard to catch when they're on to you. It was such a hassle for days just trapping cats one by one until we had all fifteen and could take them to be fixed en masse. Then a wandering male showed up afterwords and we had to do it all again lol.

As a dedicated member of the dog rescue/foster community in my hometown, this is one of the main reasons dogs end up in shelters: overbreeding and owner abandonment. My pupper can't be neutered because of health issues. But I just am very careful and always supervise him hes never outside alone and he does go to dog parks but I always have a close eye on him and he's never tried to mate with another dog so it's all good. Just got to be a responsible owner and watch your dogs if your not going to fix them. Plus idealy dogs shouldn't be neutered until 2 years of age at least in big dogs as they need the hormones to grow and build healthy bones
