It shouldn't be illegal to hoard stuff as long as it only affects you and no one else it should be if you have a kid.

It could be argued that hoarding increases the likeness of pest like roaches, rats and any number or critters that find that enviroment suitable.

That... depends? Hoarding (especially when food and animals are being hoarded) can condem houses and apartment buildings, and cause major collapse. Even if it's not anything dangerous, the weight alone can cause issues with a building. So... hard topic.

It's often a health and safety issue, as well as code violations. It looked like there was junk piled in this woman's yard, which could affect the property values of the nearby homes, not it just being an eyesore for neighbors.
