Күн бұрын

On the 25th of May 2010, Dr Ingrid Visser received a phone call from a member of the public that an adult male orca had stranded at Ruakaka. She immediately responded and together with Steve Hathaway, they managed to capture remarkable footage of the rescue. The orca, known as Putita was chasing rays when he became stuck on the shallow sandy beach. His presumed mother, Yin and presumed brother Rua waited just offshore and after his rescue all three have been resighted repeatedly, still together and doing well. Ingrid is an absolute hero!!!!! I love the work she does so tirelessly and to all who may read this ,she has done SO MUCH to aid in the protection of these beautiful, magnificent, highly intelligent, gental giants and I can't commend her enough!!! PLEASE PLEASE if you love these amazing creatures ,you can do your part in helping Ingrid's work continue....they rely only on donations alone..you can look in the description I'm sure and find a way to donate to her cause and even if you can't donate ,you can help out by simply REFUSING to go to Sea World or any other aquarium that keeps these gorgeous animals along with dolphins, seals etc in concrete tubs for their entire lives!!! PLEASE BOYCOTT SEAWORLD!!!! They DO NOT care at all about these animals, they are simply dollar signs to them!!!! you have to ask yourself ,why is it that you've heard of Sea world trainers being killed but NEVER heard of an orca harming any human in the wild ever!!! it's because these animals have long memories, and we're ripped from their families at a young age, placed in a concrete tub,go without food when they don't perform, placed in even smaller tanks at night that are not even big enough for them to move in!!!!! they spend their lives treated so badly regardless of the phony love the trainers portray which is disgusting and vile in my opinion.. I've heard these trainers say they love these animals .. well if they truly did they would find another job and stop aiding in the mistreatment and cruelty perpitraited against these majestic creatures and fight to set them free into a wild sanctuary where they can swim and be free like they were meant to!!!!! support Ingrid's great cause please to help save and preserve these beautiful orcas!!!!!!!🐋🐳🐋🐳🐋🐳🐋 ..

I am positively enamored by Dr. Visser. Having said that, I'm very curious how much assistance several humans actually provide to un-strand an orca weighing several tons. Yes, pouring water is invaluable, as is digging out sand to release pressure on flukes and fins when really beached...but pushing? I'm sure it is a natural response...I just query the physics...best use of sling and pressure?...Anyways, All the best to the brave and incredible orcas, and all humans who act on their behalf.
