You and Hanna jumped right in to help the rural carrier for two reasons: you both were raised to recognize when somebody needs help and this sense of helping a neighbor in need is part of a farmer's DNA. Thank you for sharing such a positive message.

You certainly have a lot more snow down there than we have in western Wisconsin. We have only had to scrape the sidewalks twice so far. People ask me if I have ever seen a winter like this and I tell them that when we are breaking records from the 50tees and I was born in 52, never.

In 2010, I was asked to plow out someone from Church who lived 6 miles away. By the time I got home, I had been given a gew $100's and a few pounds of mostly homemade treats, all unsolicited, from helping others get out of their driveways. It never hurts to help , I never asked for anything from the people that waved me down.
@Oak_Hollow9 ай бұрын
You've got good mail carriers. Around here, they just wouldn't even bother putting the package in their vehicle. They just mark it "out for delivery", then "insert stupid reason we 'couldn't' deliver (no access to mailbox, customer not home, no secure location, etc.)" immediately afterwards. Doesn't even go in the vehicle. By the way, I'm in Florida. Doesn't require adverse weather conditions for them to do this.
