You can use Skewness and Kurtosis to check for assessment of normality. Please remove extreme outliers.

Thank you so much for this informative video! How can one control for other factors when performing binary logisitic regression on spss? For example, if one wants to see if an IV (e.g., age) is predictive of falling into a target group after controlling for something else.

I am glad you liked it. One way to do it is to first run a model without controls and then run with control and see if the results change. If they do, the control variables have an impact on the outcome.

Great explanation sir...I have continuous independent variable in regression which is skewed in distribution..shall I still do binary logistic regression.. 2. Some authors select only independent variables with p value< 0.1or o.2 in t test or chisquare test for regression..kindly explain the reason behind this..or shall I take all independent variables irrespective of their p value in bivariate analysis...thank you sir...kindly clarify me

If it is not too skewed, regression is robust to such small deviations. As for p value before regression, i am not sure, I completely understand your question

It is an excellent explanation of Binary Logistic Regression. Sir, please tell me if the value of Exp (B) came to 0.004 for a variable then how we interpret it. The result is sig .000. 95% CI (0.000 - 0.021)

Thanks. I am happy to know you liked it. This shows that the Probability of falling into the target group is Less to the probability of falling into the non-target group. The Event is unlikely to occur. We can say that the odds of a falling into the target group based on the factor are lower, with a 95% CI. of 0.000 to 0.021. The odds are significant, so based on the results, it is high likely that probability of not falling into the target group is high and significant.

Sir, I got sig value of.002 of hosmer and lemeshow test which means a poor fit...how can I improve this value and make it greater than.05?

If you have categorical data, you may run the regression for each category and see which category is performing poorly and remove it from your analysis.

If you would like to asses differences in groups you can use Independent Sample T Test or One Way ANOVA
