Some really nice quality fabric items in this haul! ABSOLUTELY! I actually have a little cart that I place outside each morning for the delivery folks with drinks, snacks, hot hands, tissue packs, etc!!! We love our postal and delivery drivers! -10?!?! OMG! I thought regular old 9 was cold..... -10!?!❄️🏔️

@@whatmeganlikesunfortunately-10 is fairly common…..it will get worse. I just don’t have my body used to it yet so it seems so cold. Why do we live here? We have a beautiful state and great summers. My son lived in Fort Collins for a bit so I know Colorado is sooo sooo lovely also. 🥶

How do you determine what to bring to Plato’s and what to sell yourself?

Hi, several factors go into what I grab for Platos v. what I list myself: Brand and Quality: Generally, the more sought-after or premium the brand, the better it is to sell yourself. Plato's Closet (my local locations anyway) tends to be more interested in fast-fashion brands or mainstream labels that have a consistent turnover in their stores. Condition: Plato's Closet typically accepts gently used items with few or no imperfections. So anything with a noticeable flaw is a no-go for Plato's, and something I'd list myself it was worthy of buying. Trendy vs. Timeless: Items that are more on-trend, like fast-fashion items or the latest seasonal pieces (two year window), might be better for Plato's Closet, where there's often a demand for items that people want right now. Classic, timeless pieces (like high-quality denim or vintage items) are things I'd list myself. Market Saturation: If there’s an oversupply of certain items online or they're harder to sell on platforms (like basic t-shirts or certain brands that everyone is listing - i.e. LULULEMON), I'll gladly take them to Plato's. They can be easy for you to offload in bulk if they’re not items you're passionate about or ones that need more effort to sell online. Time and Effort: The convenience factor matters too. If you’ve got a lot of items that are just a bit too average or require a ton of work to photograph, list, and promote, Plato’s Closet might be a quicker cash flow option. Online selling involves more time to get the right audience and price for each item. over time, I've just developed a good sense of what is worth the extra effort to list online versus what I can flip instantly at Plato’s Closet.

My Plato's Closet said they do not buy Shein clothing and that was company policy. I didn't have any Shein but I had some very nice pieces and they did not buy any of it. 😢

oh nooo!! a company policy that the entire company is not following I fear....🤷‍♀️weird they mentioned that to you too, when you had no Shein to sell them! Sorry you didn't have that great of an experience. My Platos almost always buys ALL the fast fashion I bring in, Id guess nearly 1/3 of the store is fast fashion. Maybe it does not sell in your area, and they just can't move it at all?!
