I used to be strictly video games and I blew up during Covid, that’s when everyone wanted to start selling video games heavily. I’m a mechanic by trade so I pivoted and started selling car parts. I go to two junk yards every week and I grab parts for $8 that sell for $40 free shipping. Or $35 parts that sell for $100+. It’s harder to find car part sellers because of 1) space 2) knowledge of automobiles helps 3) the work to take them apart and list. I’m never going back. When I sold video games I could have 10 low dollar sales in a day and make $30 profit. If I even sell two low dollar car parts it’s $30 profit. With that being said, I also sell shoes, toys, tools, when I see them at goodwill. I have 15k 90 day total and profit about 60%. Consistency and being able to pivot and overcome is essential and will lead to success bro!

I used to sell video games years ago and used to refurbish my own NES/SNES/N65 consoles. But exactly like you said everyone and their mama is looking for games which didn't make it worthwhile anymore. Or sellers at the yard sales/thrift stores would literally be asking eBay prices. You brought up clothing and I sell a lot of that too now (Y2K/Vintage) and even that is getting saturated with resellers too.. But I do agree it is easier to find that than it is video games and to be honest the money is not bad you just need to know what particular styles/brands people are looking for and paying the big bucks for.

I found a TI-83 calc once that nothing came up on the screen. There is a dimmer feature on them. Id try turning the darkness up on it to see if the numbers are there you just cant seem them. Google how to do that, can't remember which button it was to turn it up and down.

it is tough to find good gaming deals that make it worth it, definitely got to broaden up on categories. my problem is I find something cool that's worth something and struggle on wanting to keep it versus sell it lol.

what i started doing was putting sticky notes on items that i have tested and its helped me alot lol

Greetings from Germany my guy. Same thing over in Germany when it´s about video games. We have flea markets called "Dorfflohmarkt" which is translated into "village flea market". On this specific flea market a whole city/village take part on the event. Which means dozens even hundreds of private household take part and sell their stuff from their own private garden or garage (similar to your garage sales). The beginning of those events is mostly in the mornings about 10am or 11am. But the competition inside the video game area got so bad that people are already going to those "village flea market" at 7am or 8am. Some people even ring the doorbell in the evening before or in the morning to ask them about video games.

It's like the other week I walked into a Goodwill, see a ring bulk system at the bottom of the shelf. No one around. I walk up, bend down pick it up, start looking at it. Lady walks up, just stops. I look over and try to scoot over, thinking she can't pass or something. She just stood staring, after a few seconds said "I was gonna get that". I look over with a "WTF?" face and ignore. She replies with "Can, you please give that to me. I was going to get a cart". I just reply with "Thatsssss crazy" and cut open the reseal and check the cameras. She literally stood there watching me inspecting. I'm a millennial 90s baby, whose been flipping online since money orders and early Paypal. Folks today are broke and wilding...

I swear I get more competition from older ladies than anybody else. Like you'd think the younger guys would be on it harder, but man I'm friends with all those dudes, but the ladies kick my ass. They get there 5 minutes before me and always snipe the deals, or they butt in when I get the ask.
