One of my Brother printers had no deep black quality printing on offer from day one so I kept it mostly on standby. Then I moved some stuff to a new nearby location over sidewalk cracks and rough textured asphalt pavement using a small bakers rack style shelving unit with hard rubber wheels. Quite a "buzzy" ride. Where I printed a test page later while checking that everything made it ok, the page had dark, clear, beautiful print. Guess the toner just needed a good shake up to start working to specs.

Only thing is you said to push Go if you have TN-420 ... I think you should also do it if you have TN-450 (the high volume toner). That said ... thank you !!!

Hi. The drum and toner lives are different . Drum lasts about 8,000-20,000 pages, toner approximately 2,000-4,000 pages. Drum can also. E reset if the print quality is still good, but you have nothing to worry about at this point.

Sorry to hear that. There should be a sensor window on right or left of where the toner is. Try cleaning that. Its like a little round half inch window,

Hi. Yes. You may search the web for "[your printer model] + driver" and download the full driver off Brother website. Do not download off other sites that are not manufacturer.

Does it tell you the error is drum, cartridge, or something else?.Check the back. Open the cover in the back and see 8f there is anything in the way. Pull out the duplex unit and check that too.
