6:26 maaaaan! I say the same thing alwaaaaays! Gasket makers don’t calculate cross sectional area lol …it’s why we cut our own gasket when needed and based off the pattern of the “actual” head being worked on and not a one size fits all…. Great maintaining the grip on the valve guide as quite exposed in the honda head as with this high revving unit some ware andstress reduced,your a master for air speed and reduced turbulance in four pot screamers!

Would love to see more on Hondas or old bmw m44’s. I’m interested in learning more specially about the intake ports with injector pockets. Something more for the stock guys trying to make power. Or non vtec turbo cam.

Ever fooled with a Volvo redblock 16v head? I just lost timing in mine and bent all the valves. After I took them all out I just did some mild porting to clean up casting lines. Compared to a 4g63 head, the intake port center devider wall is just over 3 inches deep into the port - too far for my short deburr tool to reach. There's also no valve guide ramp, just a smooth port with a giant guide in the middle, lol. Chamber looks flatter too.

Many customers demand gasket matches and don't want to hear the truth about it being useless or counterproductive. I have them sign that they were advised against it and may experience power/torque loss and reversion as a consequence.

I have heard that a knife edge in between the intake valves can make the air separate from the from the wall . I notice your hand ported head was left round while the cnc ported was shape . can you explain the difference in flow here or in a future video 🙏

the hand ported head in the instructional vid wasn't finished but the CNC head is blunted at the divider. Forget the airflow separation, the big issue is the head will crack. Makes a hot spot. ALWAYS blunt the divider.

What if completely remove valve guide trench and make valve guide flat with the port ?

It will wear the valve guide prematurely because the valve is not supported properly. You can’t make it flat on a evo 8,9 because there’s water under the divider.
