I never use the camera, instead I use the small little audio cues to tell when the monsters coming, then do a lap usually downstairs before checking upstairs and the bathroom. Only gotta use the house lights when monsters near and usually every 2nd encounter with the monster I would fuel the generator. Thats how I got shatterless (I did this with my sister so I havent solo'd but duo was fun) and I plan to do bloodmoon soon as well. For shatterless the monster is going to break through the door a couple times as he gets angry he cant break glass, but dont worry because you are much faster than it inside the house and while sprinting you are also faster outside. Take advantage of the cola's and dont spend all of you stamina as it recharges slower. usually use cola when you get through half of your stamina if your planning on a full sprint as they take time to use.

@JohnathanAdamskon Thats a great question and a easy fix, dont worry many players also make this mistake. So hiding as far as I know for night 1 of the game is completely useless. The monster you interact with on night 1 always has a sense of where you are. So You Have To Scare It Away with the HOUSELIGHTS which are connected to the lightswitches that you can find around the house. Its good to memorize which switch does what but you dont hafta to win. If you turn on a lightswitch the monster cant attack that room. but dont ever leave that room light on or you will have alot of trouble. So dont hide as its useless, face your fears and if it gets in the house or finds you outside run away as you are FASTER than it (while sprinting). Flashlight is for now just used to see better, use lightswitches to scare it away. Hope this helps

I think the monster though has a certain amount of time until it disappears from the house, so sometimes it might just run out of time. If its a bug dont worry as these game devs are very keen on settling them!

i would definitly not reccomend this game, played it with 3 friends. the concept is cool but it definitly lacks execution, like why wont the monster go away when i flash him with my flashlight, only houselight?? or why does the monster have big BRIGHT GLOWING EYES?? when all my friends died, the oxygen went out so i just went outside and sat still as the monster was inside the house. when you see his bright glowing eyes coming from the powerbox direction (the right of the generator) you just run back inside since he has nearsight and wont see you. when your screen gets all static-y just close the closet doors and wait for him to get inside (you can also tell by the static). then after that obom, just run outside and repeat the cycle. the little bastard will roam around the house and if he doesnt find anybody by i think the second loop, he will go outside in the same direction OVER and OVER. making it incredibly easy to just camp. I DID THIS LOOP ABOUT 3 TIMES IN ONE RUN SINCE 3 AM.

If you see a oxygen bar on your screen it means you have to go refuel the generator or else your gonna die.

Pro tip(learned this from a pro gamer):Only refuel the generator each 2 encounters, except that on the 1st encounter, refuel the generator, on the 2nd one, don't, on the 3rd one, do, and so it goes on and on. Also, don't go too near the electricity pack! You will get electrocuted, rather be a bit distanced and make sure to choose your color wisely.
