@Epic-Evan Because back then, parents for the most part actually sat down with their kids and you know, parented as opposed to now; either not giving a shit or just wrapping them up in cotton wool, thinking that they need to be coddled or conforming to some PC bullshit in what's apparently 'best' for their kids. Edit: Case in point - myself. I was allowed to watch horror movies from as young as I was able to walk and talk, allowed to play games like Duke Nukem and Resident Evil by the time I was 8. I'm now almost thirty one and not once have I gotten in trouble with the law or had some ridiculous delusion as to what's real or about what's right and what's wrong.

I had to play the demonstration edition of Resident Evil 1 and it was scary playing it on Windows 95 with a keyboard and mouse. I'm glad I stopped playing this game because I was alone, and in the dark night, of the dining room of my dad's house when I played as "Jill" for the first time ever in the history of the Resident Evil series. This was the late 1990s Decade in which this occured for my personal life.

***** I disagree largely with that list and a lot of these games are mad old. DMC4, really? That shit is 7 years old and would not consider it modern. And jesus, you have a castlevania icon, some of the BEST and most iconic music to ever be done for a video game series, the stuff coming out today can not stand up to that, it's very generic for the most part. But the first D.C. (And Deadly Silence for that matter, the best version of OG RE1) had the OG music, not the garbo Dualshock Music.
