I guess most of us didn't have a good frame rate to knife most of the boss like he did. Although, you should be able to reduce the amount of time after finishing the game for another dozen more times. I have just earned all achievements last night after numerous amount of repetitive gameplays over the last two months. However, imagine this fella was doing this full time.

I particularly like your G2 fight. It's a proper fight without a knife glitch. This will help other platforms and lower spec PC to follow your guide. If you could upload PC/Console strats for G1 without knifing, it would be great. I realized that majority of the tubers don't have 2nd run without knife strats. If more ammo were consumed in the beginning then there could be quite number of factors to increase the difficulty of later boss fights. Nevertheless, good video, liking it.

@@xshavox it's "better" because it's easier. The knife damage is scaled with how fast your monitor and PC is. In detail, if your PC is delivering 120 frames per second, the knife damage will be a lot more than a PC that delivers 60. And the same thing applies to console, but unfortunately console's FPS is limited to 60 no matter which one you play on. So that's why knife on PC is almost considered like a glitch.

Assisted is kind of fun when you wanna just experience the game, hardcore is the way to get the real resident evil experience. You kind of can upgrade the weapons, but I know what you mean tho. What do you struggle with?

STEVE WESKER well, there's a couple ways to get around the ammo part, you can get all the way to the RPD and past the Elliot hallway without firing a single shot, as for the RPD, the only zombies that actually have to be killed permanently are the ones in the west corridor outside the west office and shotgun room, the one in the west office safe room, the other one sitting down will never stand up as long as you don't walk behind him, the zombies up the stairs above the dark room, and the one hanging from the ceiling in the c4 room, oh yea the library too, but the one munching on a corpse doesn't have to die unless you touch the ladder, that triggers him, by this point you should have the shotgun, don't waste ammo on lickers, if ammo is a problem then definitely get the magnum, also grenades are good for clearing out large amounts of zombies, I suggest always using grenades offensively, using them as a defense only kills the one zombie that you used it on. If you're second run through the 1f corridor to get to the chain locked door is a problem, before triggering the helicopter crash, you can board up that hallway, much less zombies, also learn to hit the leg to stun and run past them. As for the sewers, the only zombies that really need to die are the three at the bottom of the steps(2 yellow vests and Chinese guy), and the one zombie in the floor in the room with the hip pouch and "secrets" roll of film, if you run out that room, grab the rook plug and run right back to the elevator, your good. The g adults(sewer creatures), they're tough, shotgun can take them out but there is a way to avoid all of them, just shoot them when they're half submerged, wait half a second, and run past them to your left, it's a little tricky, but once you get the flamethrower they're easy to kill, just make sure you have 5 spaces of inventory available before you go to the king and queen plug room.

This game has a different play style than RE5. In RE5 (and also RE4) the game encourages you to kill everything as ammo also drops from enemies (the more you kill, the more you get ammo). But in this game you'll never have enough ammo as it's hard to come by, therefore running away is your best strategy. The fact that Mr. X responds to gunfire and doesn't offer any reward if you manage to neutralize him confirms that RE2 simply doesn't want you to shoot unless you have to. This is also different from RE3 in which you get a reward (gun part, etc.) from killing Nemesis in each encounter.

pay attention to 7:05 when he gets out of STARS Office he's goin right towards the Shower Room. You'll trigger Mr. X only if you go left from STARS through that long corridor.

That's true. Not that I'm against glitches (I've used the oob one myself to achieve those rank s+) but I think that there are too few speedruns without speedruns, infinite weapons etc. All these pc runs use the knife glitch which we can't use on consoles lol. That's my only issue
