Just completed my own run, used the following save points: 1) After the intro, coming out the subway for the first time. The intro is the most dangerous section other than the final Nemesis so it's just not worth the hassle to risk going through again. 2) After the spider/fuse maze. This is your free square; I saved after this because I find it really stressful, but I never died to it once so could definitely skip and save it for somewhere you find worse. 3) Kendo's Store. This one is purely insurance, because I never had issues with rocket Nemesis but I feel it's a good milestone. 4) 'Defend Jill' objective. Both the Carlos sections are extremely easy because they play out the same every single time. Could probably move the save to after regaining control of Jill but I'd rather repeat the 5 minute reception section that all of RCPD and hospital. 5) Before final Nemesis. This fight is completely unfair, it seems to be random whether you get his insta-kill combo or can recover, so this save is absolutely mandatory. Take both assault coins with you and every other Nemesis encounter is trivial. Whether it's a boss fight or stalking section, just shoot at his feet repeatedly and he'll go down without ever being able to do anything (actually he did get one punch in on two occasions but I just started blasting and he went down right after).

that stupid rolling head got me a bunch of times. i wasnt going for S rank though, just beating it on inferno. so you only get 2 saves? yikes. i would get past the ball then actually had issue with Brad getting a hold of me and once he does you are dead . i usually like figuring things out by myself. but that damn rolling head section over and over was driving me insane so i looked up how to do it fast. and then saw just shooting brad in the chest killed him fast. i was going for head shots or running from him. so ill be scared when to save it. so you cant die once to get S? no you just can only save it a certain amount of times and beat it under 2 hours right?

Hey Powerpyx and everyone, I have a strategy that will make the last boss (Nemesis final form) easily beatable on Inferno. So what you do is, after shooting at his puss balls and when Nemesis goes down, grab the 1st (any) power core. Now make a run for the 2nd and grab it. At this time, Nemesis will attempt to grab you (for his 1 grab kill). QUICKLY let go of the core and while he does his animation grab (his arm will be reaching for you), you will have some time to shoot at his puss balls. Rinse and repeat. Hope this helps!

To be fair, the last phase of nemesis on both nightmare and inferno can easily stunlock you to death cause this game has very short grace periods where you're immune to damage. For that reason, it's not that uncommon to get a death in the last 5 minutes of the game.

Thanks for this guide. Got it first try. Followed all the way through and almost didn’t take any damage up until the final boss. 1:09:05 was my final result. My save spots were: right before the toxic creatures when you have to flip the switches (worked for me but if you are having trouble with the beginning I’d save right after you grab the launcher instead) , before you go into the sewers, as Carlos when you first enter the rpd, Carlos when you start the hospital (or instead you can save at the end right before you defend Jill and give her the cure) and the final one right before the last boss.

I (almost) followed your guide and ended up with 1:02:43. I did your strategy first, but got demolished a couple of times. Then I took out 2 more defense and recovery coins, and another STARS manual for extra dodge and annihilated the Nemesis on my first go! Got all records and achievements now. Took me only 3 runs :-). How come in everyone’s speed run nemesis only does those slow predictable attacks but every time I play him currently as I’m in this stage on inferno with 1:10:~ on time I’ve spent the last 10 min trying to beat nemesis but I keep getting hit with that triple slam that he does that just ultimately KOs you on the first hit if you don’t dodge but I swear it doesn’t even charge the attack it just swings out of no where and bam I’m back to trying again 😂

Finding out you can mash buttons to get up faster after being knocked down made a huge difference for the final boss. I gave up on this when I first played over a year ago, but now I got it done in about 5-6 tries. It's still far from foolproof since he has that multi-slam combo that will always kill you if you get hit at all since it just stunlocks you, and there's still some luck involved with the rocket launcher AoE (always one goddamn bulb left at the far edge), but it was basically a matter of retrying until he didn't use that attack or I managed to avoid it. It's funny since mashing buttons was a common thing in the classic REs, but I never even considered it for the remakes aside from when a prompt is given. Not even sure RE2make has that mechanic?

Thanks a lot for the guide PowerPyx, I had to do this without opening the item box, (no infinite ammo weapons or items) no healing items, also only with 3 saves, did it on assisted, didn't even grab the shotgun, just the grenade launcher, since you get an assault rifle it's more than enough, managed to do it in less than 1hr40min, so it is possible to get those 3 trophies in one go.

I know it's a week old, but... 1. After the intro, when you first encounter the item and see the typewriter, because the intro is hard since you're only giving 5 bullets of pistol which isn't enough to kill a zombie on that difficulty. There's 2 zombies and 2 hits from them without healing or defense is death. 2. When you first get into the sewers after escaping Nemesis since even on that difficulty. He can be a pain because his movements is fast and he can easily hit you enough in a few hits. 3. When you first control Carlos and get to the police station since that's another time after you escape from Nemesis. 4. Right before the final boss. 'Nuff said.

Field Manual and obviously the rocket launcher. After you dodge a couple strikes and go into aiming, it will kind of go into slow motion. Blast the pustules. Do the single power core on the left first and then work on the other two. The manual will save you a lot of grief.

@@somacruzmiroku It's Dynamic Difficulty that has been around since RE4. It's essentially built so Bosses Health will be roughly the same as the amount of ammo you have, so they don't become impossible to beat. Same goes for the enemies. When you have lots of ammo, enemies tale forever to defeat. If you habe little ammo, you can kill them in two hits. This does not apply to the highest difficulty, though, which is always locked to the highest enemy HP and Damage.

Man that stunlock on Nemesis final stage is absurd. If you get hit once, you're stunlocked until death (can't open inventory to heal or even dodge). Took me some 10 tries to beat him lol. But that's the only difficult part on inferno imo

Everybody complaining coz he used the infinite launcher, so what? Capcom designed this game to run through Inferno with your unlocked items. I bet at least 85% of folk in the comments would not be able to get an S rank on Inferno without using any coins or unlocked weapons.

They also don't realize Resident Evil is "Asian" level difficulty as in you gotta be real good to play. Nothing wrong with me and almost all Americans playing on very easy or easy mode. We just want to play for fun not for skill. I'm Korean btw and I still have a lot of stress and difficulty playing on hard or higher. I still remember, No way out RE2 remake, got to round 98 or 99 (without cheating) ran out of ammo and died. I was so f*** pissed! I said, f** this, I'm using hacks.

Difference between skilled players and not skilled players. RE is all about micro management, the ammo the herbs the saves the routes. Infinite Weapons when going for an S rank is PUSSY

As usual your guides are great. The platinum just isn’t going to happen. I’ve played dark souls and other souls likes games, but the last fight is one of the worst designed bosses I’ve encountered. Not only do you have to deal with a sub par dodge mechanic to dodge the bosses attacks, you have these weird green acid explosions that basically stun you in place. As always, keep up the good work!

Finally clapped Nem on inferno last night. 1 hour 52 minutes. A rank. 13 saves 😂😂 But by god i did it. 1 achievement from 100%. Gonna grind the inferno S rank.

I died on the first zombie when attempting this. Came back again and just finished every achievement in the game. It was harder than 7 to 100%. That last fight made me scream and kick for hours. It almost ruins the game honestly, sticking a cheap boss fight in like that. It’s awful. Even if you have every attack memorized it’s still the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I didn’t have the rocket launcher either for it.
