Yep. I am playing through the campaign and can confirm: You can hardly see anything on those tiles. Which is a real shame, because the artwork is pretty cool. Glad to see the turned up the brightness on the tiles.

Thanks for another great unboxing/review, and yes the tiles in RE2 were shockingly bad, I am glad that SFG made a vast improvement with these and for Resident Evil, I have backed the Bravo pledge mainly on the recommendations from yourself and KOA cheers :D

People made a lot of complaints on RE 2 tiles then STG added option for replacement tiles during RE 3 KS. :)

The orange/red cards get added at specific times in specific scenarios. I imagine they are ordered as such to make finding them easier (IE add the top 3 cards for this scenario)

I agree on the red plastic color on the enemy minis. Looks like the same color as they used for Devil May Cry: Bloody Palace, which I have. Not a great choice. Makes the details look soft due to the way the light reflects of it.

Resident evil 4 on VR is very good. However, if you want to dive back into the RE video games, the re1 remake (it will be very similar to the new board game coming out) is on steam, regularly on sale Iirc. Along with Re2. Imo, only purchase 3 if you end up loving RE2MAKE. Oh, and just to clarify if no one else has: the "dark tiles" are from the Re2 board game. They are just generic, dark black tiles. I believe the rulebook even mentions not to worry about picking the correct ones for the scenario, as long as the shapes are correct that's all that matters

A few smaller answers, but the largest one will be the difference between the map that reveals as you go vs is revealed from the getgo.

And the more obvious is that this covers the RE3 video game which takes place in Raccoon City, different cast of characters and enemies. RE1 follows the 2002 RE1 remake (known as REmake by us fans). That takes place in a mansion and the surrounding areas, different cast of characters and monsters, and has the new encounter deck (RE2 and RE3 use an encounter table via die roll) and slow reveal of the map that emphasizes exploration. It also has a new more in depth puzzle system than the basic ones seen in RE2 and RE3. One of my favorite additions in REmake is the corpse burning and Crimson Heads additions which are a fun twist on killing enemies.

Oh man do I feel the Blippy statement. My son comes home singing about Blippy, and I've tried watching it with him. While educational, the actor is just silly far too often. I watched a documentary about him and how he started up the business. I don't know about you, but I tend to wait with baited breath on these "upstart" kids shows, because so many of them have historically had a lot of controversy pop up after millions of children have fallen in love with their shows. I guess I just get bad vibes from Blippy. Resident Evil 3 looks good though, I've missed every single one of the Kickstarters, but also worry about the gameplay being very similar to Cthulhu: Death May Die, which I love. I don't know that I need multiple games in my collection that scratch the same itch.

You MUST PLAY RE4 on Oculus Quest 2. One of my favorite Resi games, even better now. Can't stress enough how much you need to play!
