Still the same as Original. The difference is that there is no freeing himself of the Rope scene with the Knife. And instead in the Land, Leon pass out after caughing blood on this boat.

They cut out how the boat gets tethered to Del Lago -- and untethered. Why would they do that? Now this whole scene doesn't make any damned sense. All of these remake boss fights so far feel like greatest hits versions of the original where half the song is edited out. The cut out a bunch of the build-up for Del Lago including that badass overhead shot where you can see it under the boat before it attacks and you get real sense of just how damn big it is. They cut the awesome build-up for El Gigante -- which I already addressed in the comments for that video. They cut the transformation sequence for Chief Mendez -- he just appears out of the fire fully-transformed, you never see it. Look, I get it. The original game was a beast that clocked-in at 35 hours on first playthrough. Trims were needed. And it costs money to animate long cutscenes like the intro to El Gigante. But it should never be at the expense of coherency.

Yeah, I was also confused when I watched the remake. It took me a minute to figure out that the boat is tethered to Del Lago. Unlike in the original which shows it.

Not gonna lie this boss fight feels lacking, no leon gets his leg getting roped up, not even leon getting tumbled away from his boat and the salamander is not even that intimidating compared to original.
