Because back then they wanted the fans and newcomers to the serise that the gamplay for resident evil has changed and with that it will draw more pepole to it now the remakes are all the same gamplay but with little upgrade like in re4 showcace we knew that leon can crouch which is coninsedr new in the remakes line

Because the game was already released a year ago, everyone knows how the gameplay was, GameCube version came before the PS2 version.

Nowadays those pretty cinematics get used usually to fool you into buying it, nowadays its gameplay first Also there was a much better one but seems lost :c

@@Yuri-xx2gi “do it right” they will cut out all the best parts of the old game excluding the enemy types and characters, and make you pay for most of the weapons and will be a slower and but much shorter game and have redesigns for monsters that don’t need it. None of that will make the remake better, the only thing that will be better is the graphics and that is not important to make a game good.

My 1st Resident Evil I purchased at launch and absolutely loved it on GameCube. Bought the PS2 port too, shame it caused Shinji Mikami to leave Capcom. Franchise has never been as great since he left. They better not mess up the RE4 "Remake" like they did RE3.

Yeah bad Capcom for putting this game on a system that ended up selling over 155m bad Capcom This version sold more on the first day then the cube version lifetiem

It was a terrible mistake on take the whole franchise to Nintendo. At least the whole GC Released tiltles goes to another platforms so well in the future. That RE Remake would sold much better on PS2 rather than on Nintendo since the first place.

That’s the problem with today’s expectations for the game industry. The newer generation is plagued with pretty graphics that they forget that a game is supposed to be fun and not just good looking.
