The most important option in the entire game is at the bottom of the camera settings. Namely the camera wobble setting. A1 Capcom GG thanks for letting me turn that baloney off.

This game runs like a charm on my GTX 970. Even in native 1080p i get mostly 40-60 fps. With FSR even more. Absolutely playable! But u need somewhat of a good cpu to play this.

Its crazy how even a 3080 Ti is considered a low budget card at this point which can't even max out this game even at 1440p. It cant max out DeadSpace either with all the crazy stutters. 3090 is decent but starts showing its age too. At this rate might as well buy a new card every year just to keep up since the highest end GPUs get obsolete in less than 2 years. This wasnt the case 5+ years ago and pretty soon 3080s will struggle to max out games with RT even at 1080p. 12 GB of VRAM is barely cutting it in 1440p on a 3080 Ti and thats if you want to run at 60 fps nevermind 120+ fps. Dead Space is living proof of this with the insane stutters

It's a marketing strategy, and it works. Nvidia have done this for years. They gimp high end GPU'S knowing fine well if they had double the Vram all would be good.

I despise stutters in games, they annoy me so much I wont even buy a game with them, which is why I love your channel so much, I really appreciate your Port REports. Lol get it? REport, it's RE4. Okay bad jokes aside I just wanted to say that I don't think bad ports are an issue with developers being "lazy." Most of the time these developers are people just like me, we go to work, do our job, then go home. The issue is that these publishers don't want to give the PC version as much time for optimization as they do the console versions, so they go ahead and release their games on PC when they're still broken instead of just delaying the game or at least delaying the PC version. Sorry, didn't mean to rant, I just wanted to mention that because I feel like at the end of the day it's the publisher who says "this is acceptable, release it." Anyways, thank you for the video! I am currently playing REmake 2 and hoping to beat it and then get through REmake 3 and pick up REmake 4 later down the line on a good sale. Also I keep coming back to your videos but I haven't subscribed yet, I completely forgot. I'll do that as soon as I finish this comment. Oh one more thing, if you're going to keep doing these port reports, I would really like it if you could test a game out on another PC if you have one available. I know that's a tall order given how much it costs to build even a mid tier PC, but if you have any other hardware, like entry level gaming or even a Steam Deck, just getting a little bit of info on how games run on some weaker hardware would be cool too. Alright this comment is way too long haha. I'm out. Back to REmake 2.

It’s actually nuts how optimized this game is going to be and I knew they would do it justice! Same team behind the RE2 Remake! I love how their is an option to change hair physics like from clumps to individual strands of hair on Leon’s head!? Same as character animations from NPC’s being more diverse which uses more vram of course and performance or they all do similar motions to give more performance.. it’s crazy how many options this game has!? They upped the anti completely for RE4 and for good reason, to much hype around it and it’s a cult classic to boot..

@@ZeroMilks I actually agree with this… optimized for sure but that D325 fatal error that’s plagued many as well as myself is a major piss off they need to prioritize and fix… lowering graphical fidelity doesn’t work and on top of that I’m rocking a 3080ti… I shouldn’t have to lower much of anything with that card 😂… it’s a pretty graphic intense game compared to the other RE remakes but not Cyberpunk intense and I can run that game without crashes… it’s just crashing and being shit for many right now…

I think you forot that you're using a luxery specs dude very few can affored an overkill rigs & yet you got only 70 to 60fps maxedout setting in rigs that could handle 8K EZ

i think the 9900k is causing the bottleneck here. seen builds with the 13900k and gpu utilization is at 99% at 4k and 1440

this demo showed me that i did a good choice to buy hte 6800xt with 16g ov vram...game is constanly pushing 12 gigs on my new 4k monitor.i got about 80 fps...was blown away by the graphics...60 euros well spent right away..

Don't enable the special hair feature. It tanks your fps by 20%+ and looks different, not better.

I love this game so far! The graphics is really good, performance absolutely fits, it has the BEST graphics settings i have ever seen in a game!, it has extremely good atmosphere and is scary while still being Resident Evil 4 but not just a remake. its a totally different game but in a good way!! As hardcore Resi 4 fan this game completely fullfilled my expectations and beyond. And this is just the DEMO!! Cant wait for the finished game with better performance.

The demo is stuttery on pc on certain parts of the game but its optimized well enough but it definitely stutters at moments, anyone who says other is lying and just dosent notice it. but like bro said it is very very minor but its just kinda annoying but its a demo so all is forgiven

For me, the demo ran significantly worse than RE Village, 2 Remake, and 7. Idk what's going on. Perhaps I was supposed to update the Nvidia driver? Doesn't matter. I'm getting the game on PS5. Sadly I won't be able to aim with the mouse. I really liked that Capcom got the mouse feel just right. Feels better than RE2 Remake. But them fps drops and traversal stutters, man... Ugh. No.

@L393ndary22 It's a month later but il tell you what the issues was. There was a huge CPU bottleneck. The 4080 and 4090 are incredibly hard to feed. Your CPU even though it's older probably feeds you GPU better, you would most definitely benefit from an upgrade on the CPU side though.

Overall game ain't running bad, however i can't max it out on my 3080 10gb without turning off ray tracing and setting textures to 2GB, because even though i can set it all max with FSR2 quality and get 110fps on the spot at 3440x1440 monitor, Once i start running and VRAM starts climbing it hits 10gb instantly and crashes with FATAL error D3D. So turning off raytracing and setting textures to 2GB setting, equal in 8gb~ usage while in game with no crashing. More of nvidia issue than game itself. 3080 is just absolite at this point. Power is there, but vram is not

Which driver version are you on? There were recent issues with 531.18 and NVIDIA put out a hotfix driver to fix issues, 531.26.

@@jokerproduction will try it Joker, maybe its also reason why my 7950x+trindet z5 neo + 3080 pc gets bsod by DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE caused by ntoskrnl.exe at random moments while its not doing anything, like trying to launch steam game and it gets not responding. Using latest clean win 11 install, which i got last week. Maybe its cause by gpu driver. Dunno. Also i am keep getting dissapointed. As long term ryzen user since zen 2, had 3600 had 5800x and always there was issue with ram compactibility even though proper kits were used. And etc.

Same gpu and same issue , also had the same problem with resident evil 2 and 3 with ray tracing on lol it would crash after awhile. I was running 4k fsr quality and everything maxed besides textures which was at 2gb

the game should be a little optimized my rx 580 stuters from time to times with low graphics and i know my gpu is capable of the graphics shown i see 45 fps and drops to 30 25 in some places and when runing screen space ambient occlusion (ssao) some places become black like black groud or black trees its a major graphic bug i searched online and im not the only one

Might be a drivers thing, buddy has the 470 and there is massive issues with the drivers. games say he is out of date but has the newest driver. also come launch there will be game ready drivers and from the looks of it all they are doing is polishing the game because the game even if this is just the starting area looks to be at finished levels when it comes to animations and lighting

@@Slicer1230 well my gpu driver had the latest version i did update after i tried it but it still had the problem i think its the case im with you on the point of drivers tho when game launches thell be game ready drivers that l fix the issue hope its the case btw amd gpu always had issues with compatibility

It needs some work imo, it's hard as shit to run. I9 12900k paired with 4090 ain't enough and it drops into the 90'S. You need a 13900k to keep it over 100. I don't think the visuals justify how hard the game is to run. The game needs DLSS but it won't happen, FSR is a joke.

well not everyone can have rtx 4090 for best performance.with rtx 2060 super in the village part i have lower fps because gpu does not utilize fully.im sure my cpu is not bottlenecking gpu

I had a problem where the resolution option wouldn't go above 1080p even though I was playing on a 4K tv. Right clicking on the .exe and going to properties->compatibility->change high DPI settings->override high DPI scaling performed by application fixed it.

I clicked so it was borderless fulscreen and then it let me change resolution and then I went back to full screen and all was good

Thank goodness for another good pc port. I should be able to play these games on my rtx 3070 without being concerned with performance issues such as frame pacing issues, stutters, and low fps even if I'm above recommended hardware. Just recently, Halo Infinite season 3 came out, and it fixed the frametimes in the campaign, so now I'm able to play it at high settings. I would do ultra, but that would max out my vram usage.
