actually if you play Ada's DLC she obtained a fake sample to screw whesker, whesker saw ahead and knew she'd try to screw him so got a sample on his own. basically, ada had nothing to do it and tried to stop whesker actually. had ada's real plan worked, whesker gets a fake sample and the island is blown up and the plagas gone forever. if ada wasn't there whesker would have gotten the sample however he got one anyway, since he trusted none of his subordinates.

I played both, and I really like them both. The original is goofy fun, with funny writing and dialogues, and has a charming jank to it that is reminiscent of that era of videogames. But if I'm being honest, the remake is far superior in everything else. And it's also congruent with the whole RES remake universe. Leon in the remake is the same Leon from RES 2 remake, and feels more like a real dude, whereas in the original, he's more like a heroic comicbook character. Ashley in the remake feels like an actual pampered teenager who develops a crush on Leon and is trying to impress him. Remake Luice is a lab nerd who's trying to hide his fear of being caught by acting cool. And Ada actually feels really shady in the remake!.....Characters in the remake have better expressions, and show more nuanced personalities!

It's hard to remake one of the best games of all time. This game is so perfect already and mostly considered the best game in the series. I think if they did remake it they would need multiple options for playstyles and modes especially one that really caters to fans of the original who would like a new coat of paint and maybe some extra challenges but would like the game to be kept pure in it's original state in terms of controls and story etc. I think they could do a great job with adding new textures and a side story like Ada's quest on top of what's already existing and it wouldn't have people up in arms as much. I also would love an RE4 remake/remaster though even though I think the original is nearly perfect.

What I did on my GameCube on professional mode 1.used up all the barrels and switches to knock him out 2. A mandatory broken butterfly/rifle bullet to his eye and a climb in one attempt.
