Me personally I think they should have did a spinoff instead of a remake. There's so much more they could have did with that storyline. From leon's mention of the Arclay Mountains to Krauser surviving the plane crash to him being converted over to a ganado. They could have made a strip where you played as him and a small resistance against saddler and his men instead of remaking the fourth one. And titled it; Resident Evil Chronicles or something. The lost tapes etc. No they gotta remake the fourth installment to the series which initially was supposed to be Dante from Devil may Cry. Only instead of playing as Leon, you had a part to play as someone else and a chance to view the games main story from a different angle. But would they ever think of that? No just gotta remake it! Game developers are starting to look a lot like Hollywood. And I mean that as an insult 🧐

Can't really say I'm all too thrilled about this release if any of you spoke to original players of the series many are excited but there are some of us who think they should have made a completely different game that takes place in or around the time Leon begins his trek to Europe. So much more they could've did with that. You could have played as Luis, you could have played as Ada anything. Played as Krauser up till the time of his betrayal. Or played as him while working for Sadler. Which I'm pretty sure they have in side missions but you get my point. So much room for potential but instead went with a full remake of the game. 🧐

Safe room soundtrack was amazing. It had something in it. That horror feeling. That nostalgic feeling. That soundtrack gives me chills. Makes me remember those days when I played re4 for the very first time 😭

I mean, they kind of already did that with the original RE4 anyway as a summary of the events of RE1-3 are shown in the intro to the game, so one would assume they'd do it for the remake to. The only thing I like with the remake is that Leon here feels like the same Leon from RE2R, didn't get that impression with RE4 OG Leon in relation to RE2 OG Leon.

That didn't really bother me because there was a lot of replay value with all the in game unlockables. In an age where most devs nickel and dime you, Capcom had countless weapons and costumes as unlockable in game content. And I appreciated the hell out of that

I still remember it so well when the original released on the gamecube. The graphics were absolutely stunning, the gamecube even had to lower the resolution by using black bars at the top and bottom of the screen in order to make it playable. Back then I had no PC and these were the best graphics I had seen so far. It feels unreal seeing the game with next gen graphics now.

@facopse Those black bars on the GameCube are known as “letterbox”. The developers wanted that so that the game had a more “cinematic feel” to it. It wasn’t about lowering the resolution. Though I do hope they add an option for that in the remake

I just hope they don't completely drop Leon's quipster personality like from the original, but do it with a twist. Like instead of it showing up out of nowhere like in RE4, make it like a facade he uses to cover up his fear to keep himself focused on the mission. And we really need to see some more backstory on how he became an agent, as well as some history with him and Krauser.

My no.1 favorite game of all time! This is the game that got me hooked on the resident evil saga. Spent thousands of hours playing it on PS2 since I was 15 years old (2009). Play it again n again throughout my youth and installing the game on my PC. Then bought a PS4 and I bought the CD and play it again n again. Now I’m 28 years old and I’m planning to get a PS5 and can’t wait to buy this remake version and play it with a new experience.

Yeah. But the criticisms about RE3 remake didnt end with how much content they cut, which was more than the stuff they cut from RE2. RE4 held the title for the longest game and most replay ability due to how many weapons and upgrades there were and the mercenaries mini game extra content. RE2 remake acceptable, but they could e done a bit more, RE3 remake was a slap in the face. If they want to live up to or better yet surpass the Original RE4 then they really need to bring their A game. No excuses or shortcuts this time.

@@BerryNiceToMeetYou RE4 remained in the top charts of gaming long after the GameCube and PS2 days. Well into the 360 era during RE5 and after. It’s probably one of the greatest and revolutionary titles ever. Everyone copied the over the shoulder camera. Just like how Witcher 3 changed open world games. They better do this remake justice because they have a LOT to live up to. And that includes everything the original offered and more. I think they understand this very well, given how much of a let down RE3 remake was.

I'm also hoping there will be Ashley DLC in case they also do away with her castle section gameplay in the main game. Not that I'm defending DLCs, but it's basically a standard for single-player games nowadays to have 2 or more of them down the line. So the obvious first choices are Ada's and Ashley's sides of story. Maybe they also make Krauser DLC? That'd be dope as well, his story wasn't featured at all in the original game apart from what he mentioned about himself, Saddler, Wesker and Umbrella, so I'm curious to see how it looks like from his perspective

@B Mo the problem os that RE4 is the start of the decline of the saga,and it's not a RE,if you want an advice,play RE1,2 and 3,and code veronica (also 0 is not bad) but that's all,this are the resident evil saga,all the games that came after those are shit,RE4 is a clown game,farmers that calls you "estranieroooo" and come to kill you with chainsaws. Re5 is cod zombie (wesker taking a missile with his hands🤮) Re6 is a sitcom, RE7 is a cosplay of RE1, a nice game yes,well made(apart for the story that is totally dumb,and that appeareance of chris in the end is ridiculous) but still a cosplay. And Village, is just Village,absolutely not a Resident Evil,a well made action shooter with some jumpscares in it,but it's dumbass calling it a Resident Evil. Btw I really hope for a decent remake like the 2 one... I think that if Capocom need to continue making fucking moneygrab on a dead saga like this,at least should do it with nice remakes, it's a clown marketing choice also the one of the remakes,bc you don't put any innovation in your saga and any new ideas for the story,and still a nice bait for fans of RE, but at least they make decent remakes.

so far biohazard 4 remake / reimage looks good it's matching the original. the only things so far i do not like that i notice is. 1. they made Ashley Graham look a bit older and they cover her up with a different outfit. 2. Ada Wong outfit is covered up, different and not sexy. overall, everything else looks great. so far that is. those problems i mention before. the modders can fix that.

as i did research on their new outfits. i found out that their new outfits are from the beta version of Bio 4. it's take place in Europe , Spain. in a winter season. so it's cold there at that time. so it makes sense why they pick those outfits this time around. still, i do not like. good thing it was not something else i was thinking about.

Exactly. I don't care for this game. Love re4. But, I think this is an unnecessary cash grab that nobody asked for. But, I hate that they've brought back that RE2R Leon. I thought he was ugly and weird looking. I feel he would look better if he had a beard and a low haircut.
