If I remember correctly, this scene in the original didn't show that Leon knew she was working specifically for Wesker, just that she's a lying spy with no specific allegiance, and therefore could be working for anyone.

So after Leon realizes she's been alive this entire time, after he probably had been replaying Raccoon City's events all these years in his head to see what he could have done, doesn't get surprised in the slightest..? This was so underwhelming. Leon talks about how traumatic those events were in the game intro, yet this scene is not coherent with that in any way. That day was hell, the person very linked to that memory is suddenly alive, yet Leon plays out like this..? Thought they were gonna make Leon more human, but that's not the case here, this is basically the same as original but more stupid SMH. Still, amazing game

This isn't the first time Leon realizes Ada's been alive this entire time. Ada even alluded to Leon knowing she's been alive with the whole "you don't seem surprised. Interesting". Leon's been a government agent for the better part of six years - you don't think with the resources that's available to him as an agent, that he wouldn't do some digging and investigating on his own and find out Ada is in fact still alive and active?

The last time he saw Ada, she was vamping him so as to use him--and here she is again, unapologetic, playing some kind of angle and trying to be all flirty like none of his feelings matter. This Leon's over that, not letting her get close enough to backstab him again. And I'm glad. Good men deserve better than to be manipulated by selfish abusers.

If we're being fair on the matter, it really doesn't make sense for Leon to think she's working for Wesker, and even at the time of the original release the line never sat well with me. Yes, Leon knows Chris before the events of RE4. Chris finds out Wesker is still alive in CV and considering the games before RE4 set up the various biological threats to come later, it would make sense for Leon to be briefed on Wesker in some manner. To my knowledge, there is literally nothing to suggest that Leon could have possibly learned Ada was working with Wesker, especially if he didn't have confirmation up until 2004 that she was alive.

So i dont have a problem with ada being some what cold since she did act pretty cold towards leon in re2r. Especially because she acts warmer towards leon after the events of re2r. My problem is she sounds like a completely different person. Many people complain about the knife slash leon did and heres what i think. In re2r ada points a gun at leon and basically calls her bluff. So he is aware she isnt willing to kill him Now she dissapeared for like 6 years and the first thing she does is point a gun at him. Arguably he should of just called her bluff again. Do i think leon was in the wrong for the knife swipe honestly no since he knows she survived racoon city probably because she sold the G virus so he has on some level reason to not trust her. Second i dont think he was being reckless and he probably figured she would live becayse she survived worse. He doesnr seem to care as much about apprehending her since he lets her get away. I have mixed feelings but i lean more towards he definaitly doesnt trust her as he really shouldnt trust her.

It's important to know that Leon doesn't trust Ada at this point after the events of RE2, and considering she had him at gunpoint. One of those slashes could have hit Ada and he wouldn't care.

Give them no strings to pull. Zero trust until proven worthy again. His handling of this showed that he had all the "power" here and knew she wouldn't respect him as he deserves.
