I played it recently and didn't pack any grenades and urgh the amount of rage I had getting killed by him just because Leon can't move fast enough got me raging in my zero death save file That means maximum difficulty without reducing it with cheap deaths Getting Chicago Typewriter was a godsend as I obliterated him nonstop

This boss fight is definitely harder than the original with new attack such spinning arms, throwing burning wooden plank and explosive barrel 😨. Took me a few tries to learn to dodge and parry his attacks 😰.

I agree. I don't feel intimidated by this version of him talking often. Another thing I noticed is that in almost every fight, Leon makes sarcastic lines which ruins the experience, for me at least. "No food for you", "We're playing hide and seek, is that it?" etc.

Mendez isn't invincible. His parasites emerged because his physical body suffered too much trauma after getting caught in that explosion point blank. Same thing occurred with Salazar and Saddler. And arguably Krauser, since he had just been through a brutal fight before willfully mutating.

I guess i must suck at playing the resident evil 4 remake being i got killed more than 20 plus times by Mendez while he was in his second form to dodge all the burning planks of wood and barrels of gasoline seemed almost impossible , not to mentioned his claw attacks going right at you after he throws all the junk. I think this seems to be hardest part of the game yet i had to play. It could be just not nearly as skilled as all your hard-core gamers are. He definitely is way more difficult to defeat this time around than the OG resi 4. Not gonna reduce my difficulty to take him out cause that seems like a cop out approach.
