What's more impressive to me is how well it runs on Xbox 360 even when playing split screen. I remember playing l4d2 like that was annoying and made it harder in a way, but here it only made things better

1:02 I'm not sure if the remaster devs have ever been outside or not, but shadows are not that clear. The further away an object is, the shadow will be less sharp, like the shadow from a tree. ps3 looks better. It's a case of just because you can make the shadows clearer with the power of a console jump, doesn't mean you should.

Correct. Sharpness or blurriness of real life shadows depends on the distance the object casting the shadow is from the surface... Close = Sharp, Far = Blurry. GTAV PC has an awesome shadow option that simulates that very well. Ps3 is so powerful. The frame rate may look choppy but after an hour of gaming your eyes will readjust to the 30fps and it looks smooth again.

Like most comments say, I think the ps3 verision was good on graphics. If I'm not mistaken I believe that RE5 was the first in the series to be in 1080 hd so even then it had the best graphics in 2009. I still got it on the ps4 verision not for the upgrade but rather to continue having the old games in the current console.

I cant believe how beautiful this game looks. Ps3 and Esp PS4. People trash talk Re5 and Re6, and they do stray from the classic RE but the level details are always mind blowing, they add so much content and storyline compared to other games. I still stand by them. -i think Haiti/voodoo/zombies/spies/terrorism would of been a better place than the (backlash) Africa.

Sounds like a driver issue. I dont recall when playing the game having problems with stuttering. Do you have SLI/CF ? If Yes disable it and check if the problem is there.

It's a really simple upgrade but you can tell things are upgraded. Less blurry better shadows. It seems all they did though was bump it up to high settings. Frame rate is also higher which is good. Playing this at 60fps is so much better.

The version of Xbox 360 would have been a better comparison because the version of Xbox 360 uses 4msaa and is very sharp, and the PS3 version uses quincunx that blurs some things.

That's sux. Capcom forgot about most ambitious and beautiful engine, their own engine Image Framework. Their RE5 and Lost Planet games had the most precious picture in the pastgen. Even now RE5 looks solid and cinematic. New games comes with Unity, UE and RE Engine. That's sux.

Up-resed and smoother FPS. No real overhaul. Not that it needed it anyway. This was my first owned RE game and I loved it. Co-op was so fun! I think having more action in it is what made me like it. I hated the older games with the horrible controls and just boring. I'm currently playing RE HD on PS4 which I got from a PlayStation Humble Bundle and man do I feel like I wasted $15. I mean I got other PS3 games and RE 0 HD for PS4 but still. I wanted to give it a chance again but it's still boring for me. I never liked survival horror games to begin with. Too slow and boring. I'm saying boring a lot..... boring.

They messed up the release on pc by not allowing split screen unless you jump through some hoops and even then I couldn't save and I've heard there are points in the game where it could crash due to only being able to split screen in the beta version. I swear I have no idea why they wouldn't just allow split screen. Like that was cool af to play split screen and pc being the best at everything this game could've gone out with a bang. No, they thought it better to remove the code to allow split screen. I can only assume it was so they can sell more copies.

Ps to get split screen I had to 1. downgrade to unstable and worse looking beta version (doesn't allow split screen without the third-party mod) 2. Sign up for the outdated windows live to attempt to save in local (can't save in mod only beta) 3. Download a THIRD PARTY mod to fix Capcoms work because even though Capcom said split screens enabled in the beta version it isn't. I've tested as of today. In concusion, you can play split screen but you won't be able to save your game or at least I wasn't able to after testing.
