I played re6 Leon's campaign on every difficulty and stopped playing the game. I was thirsty for some re4/re2 leon story and was given 1/3 a ice cream with no sprinkles. Fun game but it wasn't re2 remake. Great video. Its 4 am. Night night

KT strikes me as the kind of semi-omniscient entity that gets introduced in the beginning episodes of a sci-fi show that often switches back and forth between being playfully antagonistic and genuinely threatening, and after a few seasons becomes a genuinely heartfelt friend and sacrifices themselves to help the protagonist kill god at the series finale but inexplicably shows up again in the final episode.

I really love this game. Its very fun and the story it tells is charming and earnestly told, it pulls no punches and tells itself pretty seriously minus like, a few Leon-Brand unfittingly funny quips while he's getting his face munched off by Zombies

I played zero. Felt more action than horror, although I played on easy to have lots of typewriter ribbon. For me the scariest games that I know of for resident evil would be 1 or 7, and mostly due to their perspectives. 1 has the fixed camera angles that makes jump scares more effective, while 7 has 1st person which is more immersive. Point is, limited sight makes for great horror in games.

I feel this game is sort of like the whole DmC:DmC situation to a lesser degree. Yes, I understand why people were miffed back in the day at the idea of it looking like this was what RE would have been from that point onwards, but that's not the current reality we find ourselves in, so what's the point of continuing to badmouth a solidly built and fun campy action rumble, that cost us nothing in the long run? Also to me personally this is still very much Resident Evil; it's still about facing a dire overwhelming odds of a biohazard crisis and fighting your way through it. Only this time the events are experienced by seasoned characters who've (for the most part) been through this same sort of stuff before and are actively prepared for it, so obviously they and by extension we, the players, are no longer all that taken aback by it.

That's quite the misunderstanding there buddy. It didn't "cost us" anything because of the backlash the game received. RE7 was a thing because its what people wanted after 6: classic survival horror RE. 6 isn't a terribly made game but it still has its issues beyond the obvious of it not being a true Resident Evil game. The only good narrative decisions were the interconnecting stories which were wonderfully handled. Combat was fast paced and less tanky but because of that it lost what made other RE games great which was survival and tense situations in subdued environments. The co-op is fun but like 5 its the only way to truly enjoy the game which is never good game design. 6 easily could've made the series go permanently in the way too over the top action until the series would eventually die in a hole, a shell of its former self. Bit it didn't because people saw through it and showed their disdain. Same with DmC. Capcom was struggling because of these decisions to shift a franchise in an almost entirely different direction. Change is good but it needs to be done properly and RE6 and DmC were not the games to do that. RE7 or imo the remake for RE2 and DMC5 are exactly what should've been the direction the both series should've gone through around the time 6 and DmC were but that's bot what happened. People give 6 flak because of what it could've done and tbh, the gane itself isn't perfect anyways. It has great controls but, sure, but it is lacking in other areas. So no, 6 isn't a terrible game but I think folks who remember the time 6 came out, especially the ones who paid full price for what they believed was gonna be genuine RE, have that right to dunk on it

@@matstone6713 DmC's story is weirdly mean-spirited, bossfights are for the most part bit of a joke and some of the characters (mainly the major antagonists) are all over the place, but other than that, it's a pretty solid hacknslash. @Homez18 I'm not forbidding anyone from badmouthing it. Just failing to see how bearing a grudge towards this particular game would be worth the energy at this point. It isn't a survival horror so much as an action-game with horror-elements and I fail to see that as something that would be so fundamentally against series' identity, given 4 and 5 (and arguably even 3) had already started to walk that same lane which 6 would later run on.
